Beacon: go into SM mode again, and doubleclick one of the events where you see an enemy NPR fighting another. Remember, it's events, then select "combat only". You should see that combat stuff of the two races.

From there, you should be teleported to their organization screen stuff. Go into their aliens view and SM change their relationship to a positive number.

Simple fix and should alleviate your frustration.

This is a great idea, thanks, but for now it seems they've stopped fighting (it was precursors and an alien race) and time is proceeding as normal, though I'll certainly keep that idea in mind for next time, thanks!

Anyone else notice a relation between last names of scientists and their specialties? All my "Pratt"s are energy weapons people.

New to this. What the hell do I do.
I got a blank grey screen, and I can't find anything like run or anything. Most of the buttons I tried need passwords.

Research is important. Make sure you spend some starting research points on the research rate increase and the same goes for construction rate. (all will be explained int he tutorial....hopefully)

And i just realized i was thinking of the wrong gray screen, yeah system map is important, also keep the events screen open (the gray screen under space master)

This game has a long time scale, years passing by isn't as long as you think it is.

Lasers do not operate inside an atmosphere at one atm or greater.

Four lunchers, unless its going to be couple with 25+ centers aren't an effective offensive weapon.

Thermal sensors is redundant, as that what deep space tracking centers for.

Lasers don't work at all? Even within 100000 km?

i don't get what you mean be "centers"

The thermal and EM sensors are to boost the cost as the fast build is 3000 for PDCs and just a little bit of a security measure.

PDC stands for planetary defense centers, so centers refers to PDCS, like the one you posted above.

And yes, the only beam weapon that does anything in a atmosphere are mesons.

Deep space tracking centers are built on planets, they are basically just a huge thermal and EM detector.  The homeworld starts with one when trans newtonian.  Civilian mining colonies also have one built in,

The termal and EM would still have a use on undeveloped planets, but once it has a deep space tracking center the thermal and em are not only redundant but severely outdone.

No energy type weapon except mesons can be used when firing from or firing into an atmosphere of 1.0 atm or greater.  Less than 1. atm they can be used, but are weakened so much as to be near worthless.

time to cheat  ;D

And is 1 fast missile every 25 seconds really that bad?

Sure?

It would depend on ECM, the AMM capability, and the PD ability, if the enemy has teired defenses.
