I want to delete Aurora, but it says it's over 50 GB. Does it counts system32 too? Is it safe to delete it?
Try looking inside the folder to see what's taking up all that space.

AFAIK that number's sometimes faulty. Uninstalling should be still safe though, as shared system files are -generally- not removed.

However, DON'T take my word on it.

Or you can open the installation log file in Aurora's folder, and revert non-system changes yourself.

Or there might be a storage leak in the latest version of Aurora, albeit unlikely.

That... seems very unlikely.

Is the strength of my ground troops the same as their police strength? The precursurs have landed troops with a strength of around 870 on a planet with a partially intact city and raped my ground units there. I destroyed a fleet there about 6 years ago, the troop transporters (and their escort) must have been hidden very far out. Now I wonder if I should just bomb them into oblivion, bomb them only halfway there and let my ground units train, or just let my ground units at it. The police strength on the planet where most of my attack troops are stationed is only round 700 though.

Police strength is based off of the defensive values your troops have. I forget if it's just a straight sum of those values or if there's some modifier.

Aurora can take up a fair bit of space if you make regular backups of the database which ranges from 30 Mb - 120 Mb with one active game in it, but otherwise it shouldn't be taking anything like that amount of space.

IIRC Police strength was based only off of the defensive value of troops on the planet, their offensive value played no part in it, which is what made having a division of garrison troops useful to pacify a conquered planet. It may have changed since I last checked to incorporate offensive strength as well although I don't recall hearing about it being changed.

There is an enemy strength 870 force on a planet, so I'd like to know what I needed to beat them (or if I can see my own strength somewhere). If police is only the defence, it doesn't really help me comparing my army with the Precurser forces.

Not quite. IIRC offense is applied when you are the attacking force, and vice-versa. Which is why, for example, you wouldn't use garrison battalions as an invasion force.

2. Lock taskbar to the right side of your desktop.
3. Run Resize Enable

What is it that you copy if you want to make a backup of the current playthrough you're in?  Is it Stevefire or something else?

I wouldn't do that anyway. I just want to know, if I see the strength of an enemy force, how much do I need to overpower it. Do I only see their defence value? Combined offence and defence? And with my troops, is there a way to see their "strength" in the same the strength of an enemy force is calculated?

Check flying dice's sig.

Bought a new monitor instead.  I seriously didn't think that Aurora would be the game that spurred me to make hardware upgrades :P
