So, I've downloaded about half a dozen flash players, and they simply weren't designed for running games. All they do is play through the frames, as fast as they freaking can, rendering it a "movie" and unplayable.

I'm kind of pissed. I used to be able to use firefox to open these suckers, they'd play in full screen (almost) so were generally larger than you get to see just playing them in a page online, and I could do it even without internet access.

Now, the damn thing is acting like it could never do it in the first freaking place. So now I've got a bunch of files sitting on my computer that I can't use anymore. What the hell.

I just don't get it.  ???

I get: WIN 10,0,42,34

Which means it's running the proper version. I can run flash games in firefox, so long as they come externally from the net, and not being opened by my computer.

In other strangeness, I installed Opera, and it worked right from the get-go. The problem has to lie within firefox, but I suppose I can learn a new browser if need be.  :)

Works well enough for me. (Copied from a tutorial once, never bothered researching it)

The <html>, <head>, and <body> are entirely irrelevant for such simple purposes as a .html on your own computer, designed for the sole purpose of loading a .swf...
