Solifuge did a minor rules break by editing a post.

I'm not sure the 'no editing thing' should really be a rule. It's there because editing your posts makes you look scummy (like you have something to hide). I don't know that it's really...bad from a mechanics point of view. I think we just got carried away with it.

Editing can turn a VERY NASTY scumtell into Wine very easily, especially if folks aren't watching you closely.  Also, townies will use editing to fix posts or to add content or any number of reasons, thus watering down the scumtell of editing.

And that's not considering evil moves like editing votes.  As such, every game I've seen here had the 'no editing' rule.

It's a little moot though.  If Org said "You MUST start every post with 'Blessed be to Org!'" as a full out rule then you would be in violation of a rule break if you didn't, especially if you did because you simply thought it was a bad rule.

The biggest key, though, is what Org said: it wasn't an accident but a purposeful rulebreak out of anger.  If she just had enough of the game she could've just let herself be lynched (the day was about over) or, better, ask for a replacement.

Oh, I wasn't saying that it didn't count as a rules break (it does if it's stated as a rule up front), I was just pondering the convention of it being a rule in general.
