That's what the system is meant to catch actually. The SECOND I spot someone who goes more than 24 hours, I plop a prod on them. If they do it again the same game, They drop to a B Rank. A third in the same game is all it takes to knock them to D Rank. Even if the game ends before 2 prods show up at the same time, 3 prods is enough to mark a C rank.
Real example: RedWarrior disappeared for a day in Christmas Mafia so I prod him. He didn't reply to me or post for one more day and JUST that is enough for a forced replace. When Christmas Mafia ends, he'll be at E Rank until March. Even after March, technically his rank will reset but the old rank will show up for another 3 months, and there's nothing that says that a host can't keep out someone for last quarter's rank. (suddenly pondering if 3 months is too short given that games tend to last about 1 month.. not hard to just turn this into a semester..we'll see)
As it stands, the only people I allow to lurk are mafia: everyone else gets pushed. As such, if I'm hosting and you notice someone 'never posting' but not getting replaced then it's a fair bet that you can lynch them as scum (in fact, I've already seen it happen). Yes, I don't advertise the prods all that often but still, if someone is lurking THAT badly, and they are still around, they aren't town.
Short of it is: The days of seeing stupid stuff like that are DONE. Between this system and hosts pushing hard on the prods (minirant: hosts here don't prod NEARLY as much as I would like them to) you won't see games going dead anymore unless the game was bad enough to cause everyone to just drop it.
