Sorry for asking here but I cannot find it anywhere. I am trying to mod goblins but when I open entity default it comes out as jibberish. As in not even letters but weird symbols like the kinds used for different objects in the game. Isnt it supposed to be text? I'm trying notepad and open office but nothing works.

WHICH entity_default are you opening?

If you're trying to open the ones in data\objects\ with no filename extensions, those are the wrong ones. I think those are what the game compiles the text files to so that they're more easily-read by the program, or something like that.

You want the ones in the raw folders (raw\objects\) instead. I think that might be the trouble.

Probably because you're..  not.
I've personally seen approximately a hundred of these threads where people were opening the data files, not the raw files.
Whatever you searched for, it wasn't ambiguous enough or something..
