How much AP do you guys think to change the core of the Iron Plane to a Utility Artifact that can telaport all or part of the Iron plane to other parts of the universe?

I think it is time for my Kurthal to move out of home and see the world.  ;D

If it only teleports the core then it should only be three AP.

Teleporting part of the plane other than the core..... that seems a bit odd. Teleporting part of one plane to another is just asking for a planar catastrophe.

Or an elaborate plan to possess an interplanar super weapon....{suspecting glare}

This is just my opinion though.

[Whistles innocently.]

What I want is some way to give my kurthal some way to go out and trade with the other races without them being able to attack the kurthal homeland. I was thinking flying disks the size of a small castle that look like tiny Iron Disks that can teleport between planes powered by incarunum. Probably from a sphere like artifact that the tiny disks are made around.

How about portals that only respond to kurthal souls? AP wise I would say make a portal then an extra one to install the 'guard'.

Or do a webway type thing were a portal is made and guarded by sentiant beings, or the dead souls or the kurthal that are entrusted with keeping the path safe.

Those are just ideas off the top of my head.

That may work... but I think I will wait for a GM to come and tell me what the cost of the optimal thing is... Where are the GMs any way?

I should rather like to have the protection and knowledge domains...

# Knowledge Domain
Teach Populous: History, to Ankheg.
1Mould Land: Ringworld: Great Library.
3Create Organization: Ankheg: Sages of the Wheel: Loremaster.
Teach populous: Ankheg: arcane and divine magic.

Protection Domain
Nourish Land[Ringworld] 0AP
Create Exarch: Guardian of Ringworld
 Raise Army: Flying legion.

As far as I can tell you can reuse act for multiple domains, is this true?

RAM question, what do you think the Lords of creation should be doing? This is a democracy so any input is appreciated. I am thinking at this point there is not a lot to be doing but if people start waring or destroying we can step in.

Reuse what?

EDIT:

OH YOU MEAN AN ACTION.

I don't see why not.

For now we could try to oppose weapons of mass destruction, try to stop things that would completely extinct a race or leave a place uninhabitable, unless it was originally created to be uninhabitable... But at the moment it doesn't worry me too much, I have been keeping out of the affairs of the other gods, so I am happy to act as a silent partner for now.

Oh, and can I have the knowledge and protection domains?

Knowledge, yes. Protection, at the moment no. Could you link to your nourish action (because nourishing something isn't always protecting it.) And armies can be and are used to attacked rather than to protect.

agreed.

Agreed, here as well.
And armies can be and are used to attacked rather than to protect.
Not so. I beleive it was LoC 3, but aside from you, me, grek, and fili the other gods raised armies purely for the purpose of defense. If an army far larger or more powerful than yours awaits you, you'd be far less likely to attack anyone. Thus protecting something. Just my opinion though.

Also, RAM, remember to gain portfolio elements relating to Knowledge (and possibly Protection) before taking the actual domain(s).

# Knowledge Domain

Protection Domain
Defence portfolio
Nourish Land[Ringworld] 0AP
Create Exarch: Guardian of Ringworld
Raise Army: Flying legion.
1Mould Land: Ringworld: Great Library.
Teach populous: Ankheg: Secrecy

I would regard defence and protection as an obvious match.

Nourish land is just something I did as soon as I created my planet, but it served to provide an environment in which my people could live in relative safety.

My Exarch is meant to protect the ringworld, but exarchs, being reusable, are more of an offensive weapon, and army is only offensive if you use their cheap cost to launch a surprise attack, otherwise attacking with them is far too expensive, but I could always conscript my exarch into attacking people if I wanted to...

The army is meant to be led by my exarch, they are basically a matched set, but for now they only serve to increase the effort other people need to go to to attack me and the threat if they mess with my stuff...

I added the library, it is meant to protect knowledge, and it is heavily fortified towards that end...

I taught my people to protect themselves by keeping their own nature secret...

I still do not agree with those actions for the protection domain; secrecy doesn't seem to me to be a protective action. A library seems to me to be more a container of knowledge, than a protector. And finally, albeit the nourish land creates an environment that enables creatures to live in safety, it does not protects them.

I see where you are coming from however, I believe that if you have one more action that strongly relates to protection i would say yes. If another GM says yes, I will not block it.
