Huh. Just realized that I forgot to make their tusk attack main, so the only thing they were using to crush my guys was their sheer bulk.

The idea of a sock-stealing Skeletal Wyvern makes me laugh way more than it should. Then I remember Pratchett's sock-eathing thingie in Hogfather, and that makes me laugh even more. It's uncanny, actually, the amount of laughter a simple sock-thieving skeletal wyvern can cause.

Yea, It was weird. I think the wyvern had the theif tag, as he would steal socks from dead dwarves MILES away from the fortress and i' always get "Skeletal wyvern has stolen *Pig tail sock*!" He never stole ANYTHING else except their socks.

Thieves go for the most valuable items, so most likely your socks were the only clothing items of quality you had been making.
