The god look it his creations, they were doing... Ok. He saw all about that they were lacking good leadership, and so he went to his prophet and told him of power and magic to bind the tribes together. The tribes already had access to arcane magic and the magic of the divine, but they had no knowledge of the basic soul magics. So the great prophet was taught to call upon the magic of the Incarnum. The great prophet also was taught the secrets of forging strong metal to make weapons for his army's. The great prophet when on a crusade lasting many years. When the last battle was over the entire race was under the command of the prophet.

Markoth worried. The forest menaced, slowly expanding across human space. The smell of war and bloodshed filled the godwind. His people might have been somewhat unified under the church, but they still had yet to have settled down. He knew why. Until they could unify under his banner, his people would not follow him.

He decided to change that. He looked in the deep, for the strongest beasts. He flew over his people, looking for the brightest. He looked at the humans, and found one that was the most charismatic. He studied them, and took from them a slither of their essence. He brought the essences together, and binded them together with both the water from the deepest depths of the Infinite Ocean, and he himself, creating... offspring.

He named this being Jora, "Zealous", for this creature, a seven-foot tall, aqueous being held together with divine magic, would convert his people. He would be strong enough, and smart enough, and charismatic enough, to gather his people together, and prepare for the oncoming forest.

Markoth used his summoning powers, and brought forth four water elementals, graceful beings that would force anyone into submission with jets of steam and ice cold punches. These would be Jora's bodyguards.

Jora started in a small town. They quickly flocked to his brilliance. He used his followers to spread Markoth's word, and soon controlled an entire island. Over a span of years, he brought together those who would listen under his god's banner. Those who would not come peacefully, were slaughtered for their heresy. The Mith'Kari were finally united, free to defend themselves against the great forest.

Markoth was of course angry that the Mith'Kari that he had assigned to be his priests did not do more. So he changed that. He imbued them with Jora's intelligence, piety, and faithfulness. When these "Jora'Kari" preached, everyone around them listened. Of course, imbuing the Jora'Kari with Jora's essence gave Markoth a beneficial side effect- he could manipulate the Jora'Kari. And so, he ordered the Jora'Kari to lead his people, and to prepare for the coming darkness. With weapons, axes, and fire magic.

Torva Vis would not be allowed on his people's archipelagos. His infernal forests would be pushed back, until they were stuck on their continent. Then the humans would have to deal with them.

He was pleased at the progress he had made with his people. So he helped them, and provided what they would need for a short while to be happy.

In the either, another being stirred. A collective mass that slowly gained intelligence in till it crescendoed and another god was brought forth to exert his will on the void.

It entered the gods playground a mass of free-floating particles making it look like a cloud. It started to take shape as it looked around it's self. It saw humans first, many of them and it marvelled at the ingenuity of their bodies. How they moved and worked.

It took this design and modified it to it's liking, stepping out of the cloud that blew away on an ethreal wind.

It was a humanoid figure that was covered from the chest down in a mist much like a freshly forged sword as it is plunged into cold water to set. it's head is shaven and it's eyes had no iris but were voids lit like magma, reds and yellows swam in random ripples with white spots appearing on the surface and cooling to yellow, red and then sinking back.

This new being peered at was created. The gods, their realms and their people. It too hungered for a place to call his own. He moved to a plane that already had gods that had claimed it. It saw  great ocean, with merfolk and other aquatic life. It also saw land, but it was small compared to the great expanse of water, yet still it burst with life of humans and trees.

A massive rotating will appeared within the minds of the Ankheg and guided them to build tunnels. Great networks of passages formed and met within caverns, which formed into dwellings, and halls, and soon there were vast communities housed beneath the ground.

Flying down from infinite heights, many feathered things flew down. They were skittish and fluttery. All different kind, though none clad in black. Some settled on the continent, these became the thrushes, the parrots, and the sparrows. Those that took to the sea became the gulls and the albatross. Those that stayed high became the eagles, the hawks, and the falcons. They always keep an eye to the sun, watching the one within it.

"When an eagle lays an egg in flight, at high noon, it shall burst into flame, and the chick shall burn as bright as the sun. It shall be gifted with eternal life, and be the most blessed creature in the realm."

The first of the firebirds soared through the air. It was a herald of Nehaz, and carried his voice.

Markoth saw it. The trees of Torva Vis came, assisted by that blasted wind god. No matter how hard he swayed the ocean, or brought his most powerful sea creatures, they still came. These trees shied away blasts of water, were unharmed after being rammed by terrors of the deep. They made it to his shores... and his people struck. The Mith'Kari had made axes, hatchets, saws, anything to stop the trees. The lizardmen scrambled up and down the trees, hacking off limbs and scraping the trunk. It sounded as if the trees were moaning with pain. However, the trees could do nothing, as their roots had been lopped off. The trees were dead. Markoth's people rejoiced as he brought the trees into the water, and sent them to the depths, for them to rot and never to be seen again.

Torva Vis was pleased; he would have been disappointed if such a straightforward attempt had succeeded.
His second attempt would come soon.

Synk stared down at his creations. The Storm-kin were fighting off the undead horde and were beginning to win the war. He decided to let it play out just a little longer. While he waited and watched, he began to look inward. His power grew and he was able to become even stronger.

The god saw on that small plain of existance what the other gods had made themselfs and he yurned to create as well.

Floating away, it comtimplated make to make. Before anything could happen it needed a foundation to work upon. Shaping his power he made a flat plain of rock, fissures gouged through the flat landscape. The god started to mould the plane, lifting up mountains at its centre and creating ranges that snaked out wards. He rolled the terrain and made hills and dug his hands into the eart to make cliffs and indents in the terrain.

When it was finished he looked at what he'd made and comtinplated.

"It needs a name" It rumbeled "Huishade will do"

"I need a name" It stated "Kur'hadish"

The Hollow One examined the competition between Torva Vis and Markoth and decided to intervene in favor of Markoth. He stuck his finger into the water between the two competitors and twirled it, creating a massive whirlpool.Strange enough anything coming from the land would be sucked under and sent flying into the void. But anything going toward the land would feel calm seas.

Wayock observed the Humans, and the other races. It seems that he was now known, among other things, as the Lord of Destruction. A fitting title, he must admit. Floating high above his continent he looked around and... something was missing. Whatever it was, Wayock needed a home. What could be more fitting than a rock floating above his continent. So he grabbed a mountain from the continent, not the largest but it was massive. He threw it up into the prime material plane and he set it into motion, revolving around the continent. There, he claimed his home.

Across the Prime Material Plane the ground began scuttling, and crawling, and heaving. Uncountable burrows were being dug to the surface. Soon the air was full with alien chittering, clicking, and hissing sounds, and then, the ground erupted. A cascade of creatures poured out of the ground in great tornadoes of life, carpets of creeping masses spread from the burrows. And then, the creatures simply dispersed, vanishing into trees and grass and so many nooks that had previously been unnoticed. In time the residents of the place would become accustomed to the sounds...

Torva Vis, to The Hollow One:
"For what do you protect the guardian of the seas? Do you seek to anger me? Is that it? Do you wish to see me angered?
Very well. You shall feel my wrath."

Torva Vis went to Torva Nemus, and spoke to him. Grow to the lands of the shadow army, he said. Make the son of nothing suffer the extent of your wrath. So Torva Nemus halted the slow southwards expansion of Torva Silva, and instead sent it east, to where dark clouds marked the lands destroyed by the Darklings. The forest grew slowly, but it would not stop until the corpse of the Hollow Prince hung from its branches, and his army was nothing but some interesting remains beneath a layer of leafmold.

In the mountain city of Tyrhus lives a man named Oko. He has just killed his brother Hamon, the king of Tyrhus. He has taken Hamon's wife, and has had his children executed. Unfortunately for Oko, the servant who was instructed to kill Hamon's most recent son was one of them emotional lady types, and thus, instead of killing the baby, she put him in a basket and set him afloat on the river Ul.
Fortunately for Oko, the river Ul flows straight through Torva Silva, of which it is well known that no man comes out alive.
Unfortunately for Oko, what is well known is wrong. No civilized man comes out alive. And a newborn baby, barely a month old, is not civilized.
Fortunately, the forest is inhabited by many creatures who don't care about that.
Unfortunately, the baby was found by a wolverine which had just had a miscarriage. It is inevitable that the wolverine decided to raise the mewling baby as its own.
Fortunately, when at one year old the baby was still a useless mewling lump, the wolverine gave up in disgust.
Unfortunately, Torva Nemus heard the baby's cries, and took pity on it, protecting it until it was old enough to hunt for itself, and giving it claws and fur and sharp teeth so that it could hunt.
Fortunately, the baby, who is now a teenage boy, has no idea of his heritage, or even that other humans exist. He roams Torva Silva alone, living a happy, simple life. So Oko will be fine. Until his son decides to poison him. But who cares about that.
The point is... I forget. Wait, yes. I remember. The point is, a wild human boy is running about Torva Silva. Torva Vis has not yet noticed him, but he will. And said boy shall be cause for a great deal of grief for all of civilization. Probably.

Torva Vis metaphorically grumbled. The thing in the sea was irritating. He would have to change his plans completely. But he would come up with something. Soon. Soonish.
