Whales are cool, but I've always secretly loved Whale Sharks. They're so cute!

The wiki says: Whale sharks serve as an example when educating the public about the popular misconceptions of sharks as "man-eaters". They are actually quite gentle and can play with divers. Divers and snorkelers can swim with this giant fish without risk apart from unintentional blows from the shark's large tail fin.

Man. Whale Shark awesomeness is right up there with Manta Rays.

Yup, there's apparantly a couple of species of tropical Octopi that have worked out a neat trick of getting two coconut husks and using them as a portable house.

You can find videos of them running along the bottom of the seabed with coconut shells on their head.

I think they were actually shells from a clam. They normally use coconut husks, but clam shells work even better for them.

I think they were actually shells from a clam. They normally use coconut husks, but clam shells work even better for them.

They'll use anything that they can hide in. I saw a picture of an Octopus hiding inside a sea-snail shell it had eaten and then jacked. I've also heard a tale from one of my friend's cousins who works as a diver up in the reef in Queensland. One of his jobs is repairing shit that's broken (underwater) and he says Octopi are a constant menace cause they love to sneak up while he's not looking and nick his tools, but the one he'll never forget was a small piece of black PVC pipe that floated over to his toolkil, grew tentacles and ate his spanner.

Althou, this thread IS quite symptomatic of GD becoming more VN like. Please stop posting stuff like this, I enjoy it just as much as the next guy but if it keeps up well get GD locked as well.

Holy shit, are you serious? There were like a dozen people there watching you do it.

You tried to convince me to come in here and speak for you after complaining to the entire IRC channel about how this place is the only place where you have friends, etc. etc. You tried to get me to speak for you that this thread belongs on the New VN, which you linked me to, and which you just reiterated yourself in your own post. We then tried to explain to you that moderation isn't your job, especially when you're not even allowed to speak. You then tried to get me to post on ANOTHER thread for you, which I did, but encrypted the message to make a point, and you got extremely mad at me and made a lot of typos.


In short: Stop trying to BS people who were there personally.

This isn't even something controversial; you have no leg to stand on here. If it had been an imposter, it would have been a damn good one, and he also would have had to be a telepath, since he told me to post the same stuff you were just saying yourself.

Oh, and he would have had be connecting from, you know, your IP address.
