People make Plaid shirts, pants, and hats.
They also make camo version for hunters.

You are underestimating the power of Octopodian camoflague; it will be your downfall.
Even then all I would have to do is just throw flour on my bed to find out where the octopus is.

Yes, you can use plaid as Camouflage.
But you cannot Camouflage while on plaid.

Did i forget to mention that Octopi are boneless and thus can squish themselves into the shape of your pillow with ease?

Actually, Octopi have been known to shape themselves into bowling-balls. At least according to our senses of touch, sight, and... taste?

Holy crap. The oceans have become Joe's Apartment!!!

Now we're going to be attacked with musical numbers by rude little bugs of the sea.

The octopus just changes its pattern so the paid pattern is always consistent from your perspective, and when you throw flour on it then it looks like a plaid pattern with flour on it, which, surprisingly enough, is also what your sheets look like... And besides, the octopus compressed itself and crawled up your sink, and is waiting for you to put your eye underneath to see what is blocking it...

It's okay, my gourd is safely stowed on the top shelf.

EDIT: It's amazing what nighttime does for misinterpreting.
