Not unless I draw one... But generally. Think a air/spacecraft, the size of a large car, with rows of limbs along the top and bottom, four for stance, moving with a catlike grace, others ending in hands, weapons, tools, or various sensory devices.

Edit: some images that might ilustrate the way I design robots:

umm, no. By the way check my last post I aded some images that while not being of this spesific design might give you a general idea. The difference is that this one has a aerodynomic body with wings etc. instead of a culinder or a sphere, and that the arms are atached in 4 straight rows, two on the top and two on the bottom, and can be folded into the body. if you want more spesifics, say it has 16 limbs maybe, 4 in each row.

The robot is larger than the size any human. Like spartan 117 but including the armour. I make no reccomendations as to the face or legs, though is vaguely humanoid in shape.

It has a machine-gun on the flat front part of his left arm(those weapons where you hold up the arm and lower the wrist to fire).
It's left hand is a powerful grabbing mechanism.

It's right arm is an electric taser claw. Not made to grip well.

On It's back it carries a 5 ft long metal rod spike which can attatch to his right arm, as well as a one-shot rocket.

Well maybe the alien 100 metres tall and you just melted all your peripheral CPUs when you tried to co-ordinate your weapons...

I'd suggest a humanoid-sized robot, anything bigger is hardly a character, more like a structure, and it would be much harder to roleplay interactions and describe the environment for such a huge thing.

Well, look at this situation here, Armok. You intend to blow the alien to a million smithereens, right? That's... not what is supposed to happen here. The point of this alien guy is for you to meaningfully interact with him (I'm not sure what Hue has in mind, but it's some sort of interaction of course)and roleplay, not just blow him up. Otherwise it's not really RP.

Well you are playing the role of a homicidal machine. Heck, you could roleplay a toaster, it just wouldn't be that interesting. Or an insect-man. None of these are very fulfilling on a long term basis, which is why you see most tabletop RPGs offering the standard fantasy humanoid races (or the Star Trek Forehead of the Week).

That said I think it's pretty awesome that Grey Face can beat us up so easily. We should drop the robot and play him instead!

I kind of like the idea of roleplaying a vehicle, but I am weird...

I think I would rather a 70s Cylon, I just don't think I could take a movie I-robot seriously...

Yeah Aasimov's book was fine but the movie sucked and butchered, and Will Smith put out another mediocre "Aw Hell Naw" performance.

Exact same deal as I Am Legend. It can't be something to do with Will Smith, can it?
