Question about creature dropping
« on: January 05, 2010, 03:45:05 pm »

So I know (from personal experience) that when you drop a creature multiple z levels above the surface of water they tend to go splat, but what about the reverse situation?  What happens when you drop a creature into water that's only 1 or 2 z levels below the drop point, but the water is multiple z levels deep?  Does the water serve to cushion the fall or do they keep going straight to the bottom and splat?

I have an idea for something and I'm trying to figure out how to go about it.

I believe that falling objects/creatures ignore liquids.

Try pitting an animal in a magma pipe. You shouldn't get the death message until it hits the bottom.
