Well, it does encourage them to continue working on the game, less you just stop subscribing.

Of course, ive never subscribed to an online game in my life, so I may be being a little hypocritical here.

Nothing quite says subscribing yet on their site, notably - especially since it's educational I can't see it being primarily pay-to-play. Kids don't have credit cards is another factor.

I've verified my game cache, deleted everything but the .exe and steamapps off the folder, deleted and reinstalled Moonbase Alpha, maked sure anti-virus is off, and pretty much all of the advice they have on it. Can someone at least post screencaps to satisfy my thirst?<Preferably with tasty captions>

By the way, this is just personal experience, but whenever I get that message, it's because another game is running. Not running as in open and running, I can't find it in the task bar, but its process is running. I just terminate the steam-related processes and start it back up again, and it works. Though it sounds like you've been thorough enough to check that anyway. :/

I'm suddenly very afraid that this will turn out to be a multiplayer adventure game. You have to rebuild the oxygen generator by using the cat hair on the coil of rope. You have to get the hydroponics working by finding the red key card in the base commander's desk. And each time, there's some troll holding onto the cat, the card, and stepping out the airlock with both.
