Jeeze,
Until playing Belgrade for my LP I have hardly ever played notcatholic!

The game is really more so designed to be played as a Catholic state than not, even...
(Since the whole crusades feature, and the name of the expansion all apply to Catholic states only)

So far the voting sucks-

I can't really do anything about it until this evening, but to avoid sitting in bureaucratic deadlock, I'll make a final decision later tonight. Whatever option has the most votes when I am ready, or whichever I like best in case of tie, will be played.

actually, while I was playing belgrade the leader converted to catholic... and nothing happened. even during crusades, nothing else other than crusaders going through my land . I fought the target of a crusade, but individually. which made the crusade not end after I captured the province... quite an odd situation. crusaders fighting all around, but the target was already mine and I made peace already. hehe.
still, nobody told me anything. pope did nothing. Much less annoying than in Medieval total war 2.

Pleeeease add Count of Vitesb/Czer and Count of La Rioja, they're both awesome counts to start with. La Rioja is pretty strong and next in line to the throne of Navarra (or whatever) and Vitesb and Czer are both russian orthodox counts with 27 years, no wife and no  children with pagan tribes nearby waiting to be squashed.

I'm currently playing with the Count of Vitesb, and I'm having alot of fun with it, its pretty intense though.

And sure you can claim courtiers- heck, maybe you'll end up with your own titles:-)

Oh... so you can get it to run- just not for long, eh?
My first suggestion is complete reinstall if you have not tried, I've had CTD problems with the game solved that way before:-)

My next idea is to try asking on the paradox forums- since the problem seems beyond my knowledge
(if it was an issue with installing mods or patches or whatever I may have been able to help)

When I try to run it on my laptop it CTDs as soon as I pick which title to start with. Sometimes the loading screen flickers up but it still crashes.

That happened to me before I started my Belgrade game:-)
I solved it by uninstalling, redownloading, and installing from the fresh download.
(see why I suggest reinstalling so much? It has fixed most of the problems I've ever faced with CK )

I broke the tie with a semi-arbitrary vote of Lubeck.

As soon as an heir pops up, Ill post so it can be claimed...
I guess it will just be first post gets it- BUT, you will be locked to that heir until either A) he dies or B) most everyone else got a turn and someone else would be ready to repeat
So if you claim him and he dies, too bad for you, you are now pretty much last in line to claim again:-)

So, re-install fixed the CtD problem.

Now the problem is that the UI is screwed six ways to Sunday.
