I was just wondering, how many of you have had the word "anus" randomly generated in the name of a character, civilization, deity, engraving, or anything else?  Share your anus stories here!

None, as in zero, as in nil. By default, I think even goblins don't have the UNTOWARD symbol selected for their naming schemes. I have since enabled it in my mod, for some races, but no rectum-themed names so far.

I think I remember seeing it in a kobold name.  Since they are [UTTERANCES] it was just from a random string of syllables.

If I recall correctly, Toady said in one of his interviews that when working on the language files he ran them through a filter to see if any 'bad' words came up in the various languages and removed them. Dunno if 'anus' counts in that list, but I'd guess it only shows up as the compound of two words like '---a / nus--' or something. Could easily be wrong of course.

My modded-in race has custom SYMBOL prefs specifically to generate hilarious and slightly obscene names.  My favorites so far are an entity called The Rim-Lords of Seducing, and an adventurer named Silk Gulfslit.

When I found out you could give names to things, I named my group Anusconflict of Dancing.

Goblin Curseanus.

They were both male.
