Sounds good, and I guess it is for the best we start now rather than after release.

Aright. I know we all want to start.

BUT, I'm not starting untill all these conditions have been met.
a: Some one generates a new world and has the perfect embark in there.
b: The embark there, and give all the dwarfs the correct skills on embark.
c: They save it and upload it here

I will then grab it, and start playing.
And the democracy will be initiated. :)

Sounds good to everyone?
I was never good at genning worlds and finding the right embarks.

There was some heavy Fun in my last fort with Dig Deeper yesterday. Just a tiny mistake with some green slime and the first inmigration was made of sixteen orcs.

I wonder if a democratic vote about whether to lower the drawbridge and test the entrance trap would've saved the fort.

Yes!

Magma:

I also suggest that vote results are printed in red/color of choise

I don't think we really need all of the listed features; it IS only a practice run, after all. If ye think it's necessary, though, I say pick the Dwarf Heaven map. It has pretty much everything.

True, dwarf heaven...

I have never actually gotten the exact site mentioned in the dwarf heaven topic...

Anyway, can some one gen a dwarf heaven world and embark to the site with all the right skills and items and animals already set?
IDK how many times I have asked...I even tried to, but, as I said, I am bad at world genning. Even with copy and paste profiles.

If I haven't already, I'd like to join as an axedwarf/woodcutter.

I vote no anvil, two or three picks, one axe.

One of each of the 2 dwarfbuck meats. 200 turtles. 150 drinks, weighted by preferences. 10 plump helmet spawn, 10 sweet pods or other seed, don't care.

Two ropes, one cage.
5 of dogs or cats or a mix. Do our skills, then spend the rest on wood and cheap stone. I like microline.

I think the guy who created this topic and the 7 people who claimed the starting 7 dwarfs should confer on what to bring.

I'll just use what I get.

[Proposal 0001]

(From now on I propose numbering the proposals in the first line, like I did, so it's easier to vote. )

Items:

No anvil
2 picks
1 axe (or replace with 50 more wood and we'll make one later, I don't care which)
One of each of the cheap meats
50 turtles
150 drinks
10 of each buyable seeds
2 ropes
5 dogs
1 cat
50+ logs

I also propose leaving the rest (after skill distribution) to be freely spent by The Mayor, so he isn't forced out of his personal style. This includes arranging stacks to maximize initial barrels.

Just one thing. As soon as the embark is done, The Mayor should pause, and post the local map so the first dwarves can start with the proposals and votings for the initial strategy.
