Survivors of Mossena ArcadeThe miners dig the rest of the room. However, on the west side of the room is a patch of loose ground, and they won't be able to mine further to the west. (2d100 = 20,61) They also start digging a hallway north. Everything goes well, you even manage to find some native iron ore! The work is almost halted for the day when a shout from one of the miners breaks the monotonous drilling. People rush to the dig site, and nobody believes his eyes when a fist-sized ruby is carefully dug out of the northern wall... (3d100 = 56-5,92,
100!)
Your scientists come up with a workable design for a scouting vehicle, a two-seated trike, abel to handle rough terrain, and still fast. What's more, they used only pieces that are in your scrap pile! Only the assembling remains now. (2d100 = 87,71)
The wolf is ripped open, and the body is that of a normal wolf, only bigger. There is an unrecognizable, bloody mass in its stomach, and some of the scientists start feeling sick, so they quickly skip over the dissection. One of the scientist, a geneticist, examines the cells of the animal, and comes to two amazing conclusions: The genes are altered in a way that is much too logical to be a mutation, and there is no collagene in the blood. If a single wound would have caused the beast to bleed to death, then how could it survive the several cuts and bruises the first group delivered it? The blood will require a more carefull examination to answer this question. (d100 = 98-1)
The rest of the scientists perform some tests, and they come to the conclusion that the ground around the bunker should require little or no irrigation to grow vegetables. Carrots, cabbage, potatoes, all should do reasonably well. (d100 = 58-1)
The craftsmen cover the sand wall without problems, and soon there is a space reserved as kitchen. One of them constructs a crude cooking plate, a bit primitive, but it works well. They use 14 scrap.
The miners and craftsmen on expedition to the substation arrive safely. (1d100 = 52-5) They manage to bring 48 more scrap, and find no interesting objects.
Wow. Just Wow. 10 rolls, only 1 under 50, 2 times 90+ if I don't count the natural 100. This turn might just have screwed the balance of this whole game.
