Both crafters who were close to the drill survive the explosion, although one has a giant splinter of metal in his arm. The drill? Ready for the scrapyard. That will teach you to challenge the power of pressurized air! (2d100 = 2,12)
The crafters go out looking for wood. The first group of 4 is lucky, as the woods north of the base hold an old shed - not only do they bring crossbow, but some scrap as well. The others are less lucky, as they come home with scratches from brambles, bruises from stumbling over tree roots and a below-zero mood for being sent into such a jungle...
Amongst the scrap the crossbowmakers brought, there is a sweet compressor - sweet as in, it has u far lighter and simpler design. Not only can they build a lightweight spudgun, they also have some ideas for building compressors themselves. (2d100 = 80,69)
Well, it was time they got lucky. One of the scientists, in a moment of weakness, takes his good old earth fishing gear out of his locker. It doesn't take long for him to link the near-invisible wires with the project he's assigned to, and soon enough the scientists used the hundreds of meters of nylon wire to lay a network of trapwires around the base, linked to an extremely annoying buzzer inside. As an extra, some snare traps are laid out in the forest. (1d100 = 87,99)
The scientists find some ways to improve the vehicles, especially the car can be made a whole let better. However, it'll propbably have to wait untill after the expedition. (1d100 = 60)
The miners return with quite some seeds, even a bag of pineapple seeds. Hmmmm, pineapple. Except Frank's group. Somebody seen Frank? (9d100 = 39,46,6,41,21,69,96,2,60)
The car and buggy soon arrive at the SMA bunker, and contact with the tactician is still perfect.
