You create a makeshift barricade by the doorway and aim down the hall (10-1) but the large amount of friendly soldiers in the way makes it impossible to get a good shot.
Get to the barricade. If I can get close, hurl in a fragmentation grenade, then run for it. Otherwise, fire at a Lirosan soldier.
You close the gap between the barricade with a little effort (12) and throw a grenade past it. {11}{8} The grenade lands near the edge of the soldiers, but still akes out quite a few.

You dart in under cover, focusing on recovering wounded (14+3) you recover all of the wounded that went, down, and prepare to save 4 more.

You fire with your pistol (12-1)(14-1)(3-1) and hit two soldiers, one in the head and another in his right arm. Both are down for the count.
+3 to PistolsI will crouch, stack up against the wall to my right, and go through the door- clearing whatever is behind it.
You crouch down to avoid fire and quickly open the door, taking out your pistol to clear any foes in the room. (6+1) Your reflexes are less-than-impressive however, and nothing happens. The room is an empty bedroom.
Move down the hallway, gun drawn, taking shots if there's no risk of friendly fire.
You approach the barricade, firing with your revolver (9)(9)(2) but all your shots miss the mark.
Return Fire!
The soldiers return fire on their ambushishers, {1}{0} but due to some cruel joke of the gods, absolutely none of their shots find any mark at all, except for one guy who shoots himself in the foot.
Defend the fort, men!
The soldiers continue firing on the enemy, {10}{8} Killing 8 and wounding two. Patch manages to heal the two wounded, however.
