Just for clarification, which is the room connected to the Infrimary? The Mess Hall or the Barracks?

Okay. So, since the last gun is destroyed, I think I'll pull out my rifle and enter the breach, the closest one.

Neither. I guess you can't see if very well on the map, but none of those rooms are connected.

The barracks is closer to the infirmary, if that is what you wanted to know.

I would advise you all to be extremely careful. This is unknown territory, they could be lurking anywhere and god knows what sort of traps they have in mind for you. Don't forget that you can tip furniture over for cover. Just make sure to watch out for grenades, since they will be especially deadly in close quarters.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

Those pictures are pretty awesome.
Get closer to the entrance. Shoot any hostiles that appear.

See if i can snipe anyone still outside the base. If not, head inside with my pistols at the ready.

Go with one of the groups that has breached and help them clear the enemy out.

Very well, I will proceed out the south exit of the infirmary, slowly, and clear the next room/hallway/whatever.

You head towards the entrance. (14) Absolutely no hostiles appear, so you enter the building.

It looks like all the enemy soldiers have retreated inside the base for fear of artillery blasting them to smithereens. (12) You also head inside without difficulty.
Go with one of the groups that has breached and help them clear the enemy out.
You follow the nearest group of soldiers. (7) As they move down the hallway they stumble across a barricade set up by the enemy troops.

Very well, I will proceed out the south exit of the infirmary, slowly, and clear the next room/hallway/whatever.
You exit into the hallway. (9) Nothing of interest here, except Garange soldiers getting shot at.

Slowly advance with pistol at the ready (Semi-auto)
You advance through the halls (6) and run into the the same barricade.
