((I assume at this point, you guys need to reach an unanimous decision or start shooting each other. In my estimation, the Garange will probably win the war in the end...whch is why they feel justified in not outbidding Liosra. I would of taken the deal, but my char is currently stuck chewing mints back at HQ waiting for the mission to end. lol))

Yeah... I expected to have been able to place you in by now, but this mission is going on a lot longer than I expected. As far as where loyalties lie, I don't need a unanimous decision, but I do need to know who is doing what. It seems that a few want to switch sides, a few want to stay with Lirosa, and a few aren't sure. I can't write a turn based off of that.

I stick with the troop, I'm not about to shoot at my fellow mercenaries. At least, not yet.

Right, well... there still seems to be a lot of uncertainty and confusion about switching sides. It does seem that most plan on sticking with Lirosa, though.

Turn 23: Erring on the (un)safe side of caution.

Hmm...  I don't care who I work for as long as I get paid and not double crossed. Especially the latter, I already had to deal with that once...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

*flips a coin* Heads: Lirosa, Tails: Garange

Heads..., looks like I'm stickig with Lirosa for now...
Unsure about what to do in light of recent events, you decide to remain fighting for Lirosa, if only out of uncertainty. (5) Gates seems to be sticking with Lirosa too, so you decide to follow him.

Well, if the opponent has the ordinance, I can still take it from their cold, dead hands. So, for now, no, not really. But I smell a double-cross coming in. Who knows, perhaps our side backstabs us. Could be something like that, I wouldn't cross the possibility out for these crafty bastards. Or, worse, perhaps they take away my rifle and urge me to buy one of their overpriced pieces of work. I'm already paying for ammo so no thanks.

Keep in mind, tho - truth's the first casuality in any war. Unless I see it, I ain't believing it.

Tl;dr: We need more intel. Reliable intel. For now I don't want to make me yet another enemy.
You close in on the enemy camp. (11) You flank around the left side, getting closer to the remaining artillery guns and officer's shelter.

OOC: Being a mercenary Patch is fine going for the side offering the most money so I won't be switching sides.

"Like hell I am gona start healing the guys who have been shooting at us all this time and with a pay cut aswell? They are dreaming."
Angry at the Garange for shooting you, you continue to carry out your raid against the Garange soldiers. (9+2) You shoot and kill one of the attacking soldiers.

+2 to Rifles

I don't really care.
Thinking about the offer, you decide that you don't care  which side you fight for. (3) In fact, you realize you don't care about anything. Why should you  go out of your way to do something? You shouldn't! Except sleep, maybe. A nap sounds nice. *Yawn*

I stick with the troop, I'm not about to shoot at my fellow mercenaries. At least, not yet.

You decide to stay at your gun, and fire an other shot off towards the camp. (4+2) At least it appears that you're fighting against the Garange.  That shell landed about 500 yards from the camp. Geez, you're a really bad shot!

So gentlemen, our decision is?
Listening in on the radio, it seems that while a few are considering the offer, most plan on sticking with Lirosa, at least for now. You tell this to the officer, who replies "Well, that is... unfortunate. And you? What are you doing?"

Quote from: Fortress Guard
Repel the invaders!
The soldiers fire upon the advancing Garange soldiers. (12) Finding it difficult to fight while wounded, they still manage to kill 4 enemy soldiers and wound 7.

Quote from: Enemy Attackers
Take the fortress!
The enemy streams forward, firing as they near the walls. (29) Their luck seems to hold as they kill 8 more Lirosan soldiers. Oddly enough, nobody was wounded.

Quote from: Enemy Ordinance
Destroy that last cannon!
Swoosh! Two more missiles head for the artillery camp. (13) They destroy the remaining cannon and wound it's gunner(Roderick).

You know, if we stick with Lirosa, perhaps they'll give us some cool bio-enhancements.

I will continue with my guerrilla tactics and try to take out the new gunners in the enemy camp.

I would place Gates and Alexi more to the northwest Cheddarius, but otherwise that map looks pretty good.

Oh, and something I should probably bring up. How do you guys want conversations to work in this game? Last time I sent Frelock a (rather lengthy) PM detailing what the officer wanted, and I had to make up some responses for him, which I didn't really like doing. So... do you guys want it to be a series of brief PMs back and forth?  Do you want me to create a quicktopic for them to be placed in(similar to the Mafia games, if you've ever played/watched those). Should I try and get an IRC set up for real-time co nversations(we would need to arrange a time so seve ral people could be on at once).

Or do you just want me to forget about conversations/storyline and let you blow everything up on a whim?

nah storyline and flavour is good do it the way you find easiest.

Meanwhile I will order the Mercenary squad to actually help me this time and take some shots at the enemy troops before retreating into the forest.

storyline are good, I think conversations should be brief short PM's, unless that holds things up.

An IRC would be nice. I can be on anywhere from 8:00 AM - 2:00 AM PST.
PMs also work for me.

I'd rather we kept the storyline some what. Allowing us to go on a power trip (i.e. blowing everything up on a whim) would take some of the fun out of it.
