Turn 16: Mission in danger?climb up a tre to the south, try to OBSERVE what the movements are.
You climb up one of the southern trees to try and keep an eye on the enemy (10+1) You can't see them very well, but you can tell they're getting close. You can tell they must be at least 50 of them, if not more.
+2 to ObservationPositioning myself so that I have cover between me and the north-west part of the clearing, I will begin to remove the firing pins from the artillery guns.
You start getting in one of the guns, messing around with the firing mechanism. (3+1) You get yourself caught on a piece of metal and struggle to get free. You tear some skin off of your hand, but on the bright side, you mess up the mechanism of the gun pretty good.
Right Hand: WoundedSee if I can't blow up a few artillery units, before we have to skedaddle. Lets not wait around to see what kind of troops are coming.
You decide that the guns can't fire if they don't have a barrel, and drop a a grenade down two guns. (10) You then seal the barrel off. The two barrels explode, disabling the guns.
+2 to Siege EngineeringHelp the others set up an ingenious trap which will destroy the artillery when the enemy reaches it, using loaded artillery shells.
You drop three shells down the barrel of two more guns. (10) When fired, the extra shells will block the projectile and destroy the gun. You hope.
+2 to Siege EngineeringToss a grenade towards the Enemy unless I am too far then just retreat with the grunts and find cover.
You don't see the enemy yet, though you can tell they're coming. (13) you retreat out of the clearing and into cover.
Commence retreat so that I'm going to be outta there when shit hits the fan. Even when Strained. Oh, and if it is possible, I'd inquire a comrade to carry a few of these arms.
Struggling with all your equipment, you unload some of it on one of the grunts. (8) Then you get out of there.
Clear them out!
The first of the enemy troops arrives at the edge of the clearing. Several shots are fired. (12)(5)(6)(10). Two shots hit. One moderately wounds Frederick. Roderick is completely unfazed.
Out of the eight artillery guns, three are destroyed. Two are trapped. Three remain functional.
