With the main army starting their attack, you aim for the anti-artillery. (11+2+2) The mortar hits the northwestern tower, damaging it and destroying one of the guns.

We want to detonate it just before the Army gets here to they will be focused on the rear of the fort and not the front.
You wait until you see the advancing army, and detonate the bomb. (9) The explosion severely damages the rear fortress, though they soon realize the bomb for what it was and focus on the advancing army.

Unable to fire on the Garange artillery because one culverin was destroyed and the gunners on the other killed, new gunners rush to the northeastern one and they turn the rear two guns back around.

The Lirosan army fires on the advancing Garange from the fortress. {10}{6} They largely miss the army.
