"Science is bad, if you listen to science, your children won't become psycic" seems to be the argument here.

I've spoken to people with ADD that are off their meds, and they don't strike me as revolutionary or psycic, just energetic and hate to be confined.

Plus, how does she know this? Where did this come from? Is it testable?
Unless it is, and unless the tests give a positive consistantly, then I won't believe it.

I never said they weren't, and they will probably be more productive than I ever will be, but the problem here is that this person is passing a "problem" as a miracle while producing no evidence to support her views. Although the matter of whether or not you take your medication is up to you and your parents, I do not think that keeping them off the meds just because you believe that your children are psychic is a very good reason to. Some people just need that medication in order to concentrate enough to pass highschool, and what this woman proposes can potentially damage society quite a bit.

Oh no, that comment was more on the outrageous claims on the topic, I wonder if the person or group of people who made the page know anyone (or are) autistic.

Probably not, and judging by my Bad Science book, there is a doctor in England with an autistic child who would get angry anytime someone would ask him whether his child is talented because he/she is autistic. He fully knows that being autistic does not give a child anything special, and not only is he a parent, but he is also a doctor.

I really fail to see how one can reach the conclusion that the website has about these kinds of people that are going to inherit the earth and will replace us as humans or something. Just becasue it is a recently discovered phenomenon, doesn't mean that something magical has been going on and they suddenly appeared.

This is also coupled with the attitude that doctors are bad people that actively seek to harm us and hamper progress, which is an unfounded and rediculous notion.

This is the kind of thinking that gets people killed, and if they believe in this, what else will they believe? Magical crystals that cure diseases?

I respect peoples beliefs but if "special" people are going to lead us to the next stage of evolution how come they have much lower IQs (in general, there's always a few exeptions) than the rest of us.

It basically covers the tricks that psudo-science people and even pharmasuticle companies use in order to push their products onto consumers. Pretty much a good read, and this book has an extra chapter than the one I have, since someone sued (and lost) the author because the author said that the man was basically responsible for quite a few deaths.

Autism isn't about having a lower IQ Omega, it is more along the lines of not being able to get along with people, and taking everything literally. They are not dumb, just socially inept, and can be taught to work around that.

You are possibly mistaken with Aspergers, which do have social issues (less than autists, though), and, unlike autists, tend to have some motor problems, but have a normal IQ.

Crystal Children are quite the opposite. They are among the most connected, communicative, caring and cuddly of any generation. They are also quite philosophical and spiritually gifted. And they display an unprecedented level of kindness and sensitivity to this world. Crystal Children spontaneously hug and care for people in need. An autistic person wouldn't do that!
