Everybody stay calm, we are taking over this town.

But what should I do with the keep?

An aboveground fortress is in the works. Sand, but no magma.

I assume this is about embarking on a human town? Undermine it and cave the whole thing in, they won't mind. Well, they will, but they won't be able to complain...

If you for some reason have a problem with the humans at your site, can't you just wall them in with a giant wall?

Play around a bit.

E.g. upon embarking immediately dig down and pretend to be hiding. Then undermine some houses. Or if you see some house next to a hill dig into the house, remove everything inside, go back and replace the wall.

Sneaky ninja dwarves, coming out the walls!

You could remove all of the flooring of the keep for quick blocks.

construction removal takes ages though.

I say undermine the whole thing. It will take longer but it would be muc hmore satisfying

No Magma at human towns y'know.

I seem to recall somebody who found a magma pipe either within a Human town or close enough nearby that it could be included in the embark region.

That completely depends on the world gen.

I've once started adventure mode as a human, walked out of the starting house, and was (Almost)instantly fried by a fire imp that jumped out of an open magma pipe in the middle of the town.

Shortest adventure ever.

What kind of statues are your masons making, that you think they have "maximum exposure"?
(Full frontal ones, apparently.  With very short beards.)

1:  Mine tunnels to all the buildings in the town, connected to a huge cavern, marking it as a dump site
2:  Mark all the "Rope reed thongs" and other undergarments of the human populace for dumping

Step 1: Collect 100 goblins in cages

Step 2: Collect 100 kittens in cages

Step 3: Capture 1 dragon in a cage

Step 4: Giant glass dome, with airlock door to fortress

Step 5: Build cages (including dragon) around town

Step 6: Hook all up to lever

Step 7: Seal airlock

Step 8: Pull lever

I found a human town with a magma cistern in its TEMPLE.

It was useless to me though. So little, and no magma buildings.
