Oki, so heres a random idea to throw out there.

We have 24hours to basically type what ever we want to see/want to do for 2010. I'll lock the thread, and in a years time unlock it and see who did the most they said they would or something?

I'll start: I really want to see the world recover from the shitty recession, see fusion power actually make some proper progress and probably pass my exams

I want to actually include some content into my game and maybe release a beta or alpha for people to play.

I also want to find something to do, to occupy my time.

What I want to do in 2010? Hmm... I want to learn another language, maybe Italian or French, and learn American Sign Language.
Build some muscle (I'm pathetically weak), gain confidence and maybe even get a gf. The last one is a bit more far fetched than it sounds.

I predict the following for 2010:

* A US congressman will have an affair and it will get a lot of media attention
* An actor or musician will go completely insane, get in trouble with the law, and enter rehab
* The recession will get worse but they'll tell us it's getting better. That is, there will be more bankruptcies, more foreclosures, unemployment will rise, and crime will get worse.
* There will not be any private bailouts in the US. More corporations will receive bailouts.
* Our public and private transportation systems will get even more clogged by safety regulations that don't actually stop violent people.
* We'll still be in Iraq and Afghanistan at the end of the year.
* Our infant mortality rate will remain better than places like Croatia and Serbia, but worse than places like Cuba and Australia.
* We may hit 4% annual inflation.
* Doomsayers won't shut up about 2012.

On the other hand:

* The sun will come up every morning.
* There will still be people everywhere.
* Work on DF will continue.
* This forum will still be here.

Major to-do: Lose weight and go to collage this year. Maybe get a job. Make more friends in person.
Minor: Buy an actual 40k rulebook, codex, and models. Get back to drawing. Get back to writing. go to at least one video game convention.
Would like to see more interest in space programs, World peace and that kind of stuff.

Major: Move out. Parents basement thing is totally lame and NOT METAL.
Minor: Work on my weight. Not gonna make a huge deal of it, because then I'd be fat /and/ stressed instead of just fat. But losing would be good.

I'm going study this time round because goddamnit I suck at that.

Get healthy.
Rely on myself more.
Don't screw any relationships, especially not friendly ones.
And in general, become a happier person.
