Alright, after 4 months of thinking about it, I think I know what I want to aim for before the end of the year:

1. Complete my schooling, gathering as much knowledge and credentials as humanly possible.

2. Get a job. Not quite sure what kind of job, but atleast something I can enjoy doing throughout the day.

3. Acquire my own apartment/home.

2011 resolutions:
-Kick my heart condition in the teeth
-Increase my bench by 60 pounds so that I am officially strongest at my school
-Increase the level of danger I export daily
-Apply myself
-Become even more suave and gentledudely.

Quarter year check up: I have the greatest of benches in my school (two weeks from now when this one senior graduates). Still working on the suave danger.

From now until the end of summer:

a. Survive tomorrow's presentation on autism.

b. Do reasonably well at finals.  I'm not even hoping for good grades anymore, just passing ones.  It's been a terrible semester in a lot of ways.

c. Find housing close to campus, preferably with a roommate.

d. Learn how to cook well; become a neater and tidier person.

e. Start doing short morning runs.

f. Finish working through Munkres, Rudin, Halmos, and a couple of other texts.

g. Learn enough Russian to challenge through to Russian 4.

h. Learn enough German to write my German stepgrandmother letters (I'd like to challenge through to 4 in that one, too).

i. Read Du Contrat Social, the entirety of Dragonball in Japanese, and Les Miserables.  Plus some other stuff.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

42 volumes.  It gets a lot easier/faster once you know the words for "battle power," "underestimate," "you/that fucker," and "destroy."

Isn't the Japanese version of Dragonball Z (the series on TV) much different from the American or Australian one?

Yeah... it is.  It really, really is.  A lot of the characters are treated differently, and various scenes gain a totally different slant.  American Goku is stupid, while Japanese Goku is open-hearted.  American Vegeta is kind of ineffectually nasty.  Japanese Vegeta is amusingly (but also terrifyingly) ragetacular.  There were lots of other character changes, too...

*sigh*

I used to get really worked up about this stuff when I was in high school.  Now I just encourage people to learn foreign languages.
