Crappy Happy New Year. Whatever. No one in my family celebrated. It's dull. Not like you people care about my life. In other news, I found out that my Late-Grandfather buried an M1 Carbine and a Colt .45 somewhere under a tenants house back in the Philipines, He was a WW2 Guerilla. Yeah I'm Filipino, so what? My brother plans to buy a Colt .45 to his various assortment of guns, which include: Police Version of M24, M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, Mossberg ???, M9 Beretta, Kimber M1911, and the Glock 17.

Thats all I really noted today to replace the dullness.

Good thing I'm not in traditional school. I would've been writing "2008" on my papers. :O

Well, the new year started about nine hours ago in my timezone.  I spent the occasion over at my insane cousin's house with his ex-con friends, my other not-insane cousin, and my dad.  We spent eight hours in a garage freezing our nads off and doing a lot of reminiscing.

Not-insane and dad brought their drums and guitars and tried to put on a New Year's performance for the eight of us, just as they used to in years gone by.  They hadn't played together in four years and were missing their bass player.  They sucked so loud and so hard it became a contest of frustration and ridiculousness.

We finally wrapped it up at 6AM when we couldn't stand being so cold anymore, and wanted to go get something in our stomachs besides Jack Daniels, cheap champagne, and pot.  Me and dad went to Waffle House, just as we had exactly ten years prior.  We ate steaks tough as shoe leather to a medley of Lee Greenwood and Stevie Ray Vaughn, the apropos soundtrack to drinking weak coffee and watching a 40-year old great-grandmother cook eggs while smoking.

We talked of the good times and the bad.  Of the days enjoyed and days long lost.  Of what we missed and what we're ashamed of, and how we regret not a moment.  And just to make this free-verse white trash poetry that much more saccharine, I really think this is going to be a good year.
