You take all the valuable things off the corpse, and put it in a pile. You then gather some firewood, and set about lighting them. It takes a while, but you eventually get a good fire going. You then cut the body into various pieces, and start cooking.


(I havent put in the pile of stuff in that picture, so don't worry.)

After seeing to it that your meat is cooking, you start trying to tan the hide. You get some fat that you didnt cook, and rub it all over the skin. You then wash it in the river, trying to avoid any unnessecary combat with elfblin-eating monstrosities.

Once everything is done, you then find some of th tendons that you didnt cook. Because nobody likes eating tendons. You tie them together, and string them from a branch to another branch of one of the trees. You then sit down, and wait for your food to cook, your skin to tan, and your tendons to dry.

You quickly doze off, having nothing better to do...

"What... are you... doing...?!"

The voice is back, and it sounds angry.

"You're supposed... to be ridding... the world of evil... not becoming... it!"

A blinding white flash appears, and you awake in a cold sweat. The meat smells done. You take it off the fire, and put it on the shirt. You then put the pants on. You shake your head, trying to forget the voice. What did it do for you, anyway?

You lie down next to the fire, and go back to sleep. These things can wait until morning...

ZzZzZz

You awake. Everything is as you left it the night before, except the meat is cold, the tendon-rope is dry and the skin is about a third of the way to being usable. You're not quite sure where you got the skills to do any of this, but hey, why argue?

You speak to the voice, but since the voice isnt there anymore (it was last night that it was talking to you) you end up speaking aloud, and looking silly.

You take a bite of human-meat, and get to work on your axe. It takes a few hours, but now you have a MASTERWORK HAND-AXE OF FURY +10 poorly made stone axe. To test it out, you go and chop down a bush. It all works well.

You brandish your axe, and, grinning wildly, proceed to butcher the nearest tree. It only takes half an hour until the mighty pine topples to the ground. You dance for joy, and do it again. You cut down four trees, until you have enough wood to build a city. Okay, maybe just a cabin.

EDIT: Fixing the amount of logs proportionate to the amount of trees cut down. Yes, I know that 40 =/= 4, but a cabin takes more than 4 logs. Also, yes, I am hinting at building a cabin.)

You start thinking about what to do with your new wood... after some long, hard thinking, you decide to erect a cabin.

After finishing the cabin, it's almost midnight. That took a while. You are about to lie down and go to sleep in your new bedroom, when a traveller enters your clearing. He holds up his hands to show he is unarmed, and sits down at your fire. He pulls out a bit of raw meat, that looks like beef, and starts to cook. He also reaches into his backpack and pulls out a piece of paper. He looks up at you, and nods.

You walk over to the human, and take the paper out of his hands. Its a map:



The traveller shrugs, and takes out another.

"Keep it." He says.

You put the map with your other stuff, and come back. You hold out your hand. The human sighs, and puts a large golden coin into your hand.

"So, whats an outcast like yourself doing out here?" He asks.

Sorry to ask again, but could we get an inventory? Or I can make one myself, if I could know how many logs the cabin took and if the fire consumes logs.
