Nonono we're doing the city states challenge
( http://dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Challenges#City-States )
So everything has to be a multiple of seven. Even the cats.

I say, booze (other than dwarven wine preferably) , food (plump helmet preferably), seeds (plump helmet spawn preferably) I would like to bring seven cheap axes, but if not, then lots of wood, and obviously 7 picks. I suggest cheap ones (copper ones are just 20 Dwarf bucks a piece right?) Seven cats (Damn, that's way too many, but what are you going to do?) That's all I need.

I have actually never used war dogs, but since we don't have any military, I suppose we could use those. Or we could just use traps. I prefer the latter one.

EDIT:
I just looked at the embark menu and oh my. The only known axes to embark with are steel ones (300 dwarf bucks) We can't afford seven of those. Oh well. I'll just make my own later, or buy a cheaper one from a caravan.

The burrows system is meant to be so you can assign an area as, for example, Area 1, and assign Dwarf A, B and C to only live, work and use supplies from Area 1, while dwarf D, E and F are over in Area 2. It's so you can have your fortress work as separate parts.

While I wait, I will watch Fist of the North Star.

Goodness knows my dwarf will strive to become the dwarven version of Kenshiro.

Will having different mods and objects in the raw file effect this? Because I'm sure we all don't have the same things.

Ofcourse it will. But everyone can just download a new vanilla version of the game when we start. I already have two dwarf fortress folders on my computer.

Note that some .ini-tweaks are not compatible either. Like if the fortress has 100 dorfs and someone who has a limit at 50 starts playing the game, only armok knows what will happen. But things like tilesets and fps limits shouldn't be a problem.

And by the way, how big an area will we take? I'm ok with 6x6 and 7x7 but I don't recommend going over that very much.

EDIT:
Also, can't wait for tomorrow, if OP keeps his promise :P
