Is there fishing in adventure mode? Also i've read you can drink blood, i've tried it but it didn't work? Also how do i change my weapons?

1. You can jump in the water and kill the fish, Other than that no.
2. Don't think so but maybe if your really thirsty.
3. Drop the weapon your holding and drop the weapon you want and pick the the weapon you want to hold 1st followed by the weapon you were just holding.Hope that makes sense.

I don't think there is fishing yet, and I think the blood drinking is a special racial attack.

No, you can't do anything to survive but buy food generated at human towns.

Even if you jump in a river a strangle a carp to death (challenge, anyone?) you still can't cook it and eat it.  All you get is a slightly damaged carp corpse.

you can drink blood but only when dehydrated.
and you can eat vomit only when starving.

Adventure mode carp are pansies. Seriously, you can just jump in a river, walk around and kill them by the dozens. Even with an nutrained chracter.In fact, I think I'm going to do that right now.

Not so. I got killed, very very easily by a pack of them in a lake.

I played an elf just to check this theory (Gahh... I feel so filthy now). It wouldn't let me eat dwarven, human or goblin corpses

Also, never underestimate the demon carp of dwarf fortress.

You can however catch vermin fish and air-drown them. They become edible. I've done this accidentally with a catfish. And only once.

Use "Search the area carefully". You actually can find/survive off of fish with this, but it takes forever.
