You're still being far too nonspecific for me to say anything too relevant.

As a general statement, though, it IS easy to shoot yourself in the foot in C++ when you work with classes, especially if you don't know what you're doing. If you don't know terms like "copy constructor" like the back of your hand, you should probably do some reading up before trying to program more classes.

Of course, I still don't know which classes you're talking about or what your problems were, so I'll just refer back to my initial statement here.

Classes are actually not very complicated, conceptually and they can be quite useful. C++ lends itself to some share of bloating and bad implementations but that depends on the programmer. The logic is pretty straight-forward, going from functional to object-oriented. When you get more into programming, you'll see the benefit of classes. If you need some pointers, I might be able to give you a couple examples.

Cheers

Nice word choice. :P

Really, I think we still need to determine whether he's talking about using classes or writing them.

True. Wasn't intentional. ;) Hmm, yes, that's a good point.

Can't. Cannot learn from any text online when its one stable block of text. If its someone I can ask questions its easier.

If you literally cannot learn by reading, you're in a little bit of trouble. You can't have someone there holding your hand constantly.

And to reiterate my previous question, are you  having trouble using classes provided in libraries, or writing your own?

My trouble with classes is switching to them. It complicated everything and I still have to iron out alot of bugs.

He's having tons of trouble using them,
and teaching them seems out of the question,
as he just likes to bark orders and be unkind.

Anyone feeling the need to help him out,

Haha, I only bark out orders if no one will give me a clear answer on what the hell i'm supposed to do.
I learn in two parts.
1st: From doing and reading code.
2nd: From explanation. Especially with Errors, I can never identify errors almost all the time.

That's because you are incapable of knowing when there is or ISN'T a clear answer to a question.

Seriously, from you I've seen a lot of questions that legitimately lack the kind of clear-cut answers you're trying to get, and when people try to help you you're extremely uncooperative. I've been trying to figure out for a few posts now what kind of trouble you've had using classes in C++ and you've provided me with no actual information whatsoever.

It's like if some aspiring artist walking around saying "I WANT TO PAINT. TELL ME WHERE ALL THE BRUSH STROKES GO AND WHETHER I SHOULD USE WATERCOLORS OR SOMETHING ELSE." You just don't know how to go about learning or asking questions, and the worst part about it is that when you refuse to learn, you're also going to refuse to learn how to learn.

Its like you are pissed off that you arent teaching someone who already knows what he is doing.

Classes: Like structs, but with functions, not just variables, automaticly called initialization and destruction functions, more accurate control of where a variable can be accessed from (C has static in the global scope limit access to a variable to just that code file...)

And the good/bad bug feature of operator overloading.

Of course I don't expect him to already know what he's doing. I've been where he is before in terms of skill level. It's an issue of attitude and learning methods, which would be more clear to you (probably) if you'd read the other thread about programming he made recently.

Good thing I thought ahead and read it beforehand.

Thats not how you teach something to someone who has no clue what he is doing.
