It would still involve cloth and so you'd probably fail anyway.

Craft a monocle from the raw lime metal and green rock chunk.

Thankyee. :) Much simpler if you just want the monocle. You could do all that stuff you listed seperately for different skill exp and influence, and increase the end influence of the monocle, but its more fun to make many different things. Otherwise you end up like nincompoop, and get stuck trying to make one part for however many turns he's on.

And just so you know, making the monocle straight up will probably give you 'Optical engineering' as a skill. Also note that you do have a lens made up already, if you wanted to try and save some green rocks for later glass making, you could use it in the monocle for an influence boost. But need to let me know before rolls.

If, say, I just use what I have and make the product instead of dillydallying around, would I be more successful then?

I'm still not exactly sure what all your making. But I suppose it could work. It'd be all up to the rolls.

Though your holding us up at the moment, need your action then I can do the rolls.

edit: aannnnd, he's offline... If he dosen't show up until tomorrow again, I'ma shoot him. I can't even take his last post as an action because I don't know what the heck he's trying to build.

what the heck he's trying to build.

A conveyor belt, with a handle, and his toothbrush thingies will filter whatever is put onto it, or pass electrical current trough it or so. The handle on the cylinder is to let it rotate.

Though here, this is Ethreal crafting again, trying to make something from nothing. If I don't hear what you'd like to try making it out of before the rolls, I'll be creative. ;) Who knows what you may come up with.

54 oz crab meat seems like a good option for raw material. Would that still be ethereal crafting?

Er, is is possible to get transferred from Cycle 2 to Cycle 3 if someone wants to do the opposite (and thus take my place and get to play earlier)?

I can move you to the end of the wait list and just bump everyone else if you prefer?

Also, starting rolls now, Nincompoop will attempt to make his belt again.

I can understand only checking once a day, but you really need to post an action when you check if that's all your going to check. Especially when you are holding up the game. Futher AI's may result in hibernation to the end of the wait list if you start doing it regularly. I don't want to punish people that have lives, but you did post and not leave an action, so that irritates me some.

Trade. I try to find the cave again. Hopefully it's not a dead end. Still trading my crafted items that is in my inventory.
attempt: 95-10=85
economy: 76
influence adjustment: 31 = 2/3rds of base influence.
You find the cave rather quickly this time. Standing there you attempt to interact with it in some way, you figure maybe it needs a power source, so you carefully leak some power into it. Amazingly it works! And a beam of light bathes everything in the area and you find yourself in another cave, but different. This cave seems to be on one of the floating mountains, deep in a garden-like jungle. The chimes you hear seem to come from the buildings itself.

After a bit of searching, you find a market in one of the towers. They look at you a little oddly, but don't seem overly worried. With a little haggling, you manage to pawn off your Chitin sawblade and handle, even though they arn't assembled yet. The blue-haired residents give you a bag of golden coins, and a shard of some sort of sparkling crystal they call rainbow shell.
+85 trade exp(~!levelup!~)
+(150+124)*2/3 = 182 trading influence
- blue chitin handle with neon-red crab claw adornment !base influence: 150!
- blue chitin sawblade !base influence: 124!
+decent sized bag of gold coins(2000)
+shard of sparkling rainbow shell

Um...
Get a the Lobster and a Crab to mate.
attempt: 42
Getting the crabs to mate along the same species was easy, getting two seperate types of crustation to mate is hard. Try as you might, your attempts at cross species relations fails, and you obtain no eggs or offspring.
+42 cross species animal breeding exp

I'm determined to find something to trade with...Trade!!
attempt: 25
Trading deffinately dosen't seem to be your fortay, you manage to get yourself lost in the blizzard, and while wandering around recieve a vision of a blue-haired woman standing in the wind, but within moments the vision is gone and you depressedly trudge back to the ship.
+25 trade exp

Craft a monocle from the raw lime metal and green rock chunk.
Wear it distinguishedbly. Place everything else in group storage.
attempt: 37+20=57
quality: 99
base influence:29+99=128
Putting your items in group storage you grab up a piece of the lime metal chunk and with a little smelting, a little glasswork, and a little assembly, you manage to make an impeccable lime green metal ringed monocle.
+57 optical engineering exp
+128 crafting influence
+ impeccable lime green metal ringed monocle !base influence: 128!

I will use a craft action to clone my abomination against nature.
54 oz crab meat seems like a good option for raw material.
attempt: 11
With the idea of copying your master creation, you gather up some of the meat from the group storage and get to work. However, with only crab meat to use the cloning fails, and you end up with a lump of partially fused crab meat.
+11 cloning exp
+ lump of partially fused crab meat

I am going to trade off by mulch, glass and maybe something else.

What is the group's opinion on trading stuff in group storage?

Craft. Craft a shapeshifting shield. I use one of the small neon-red chitin from the group storage as the base and then fuse it with the solid grey fluid. By channeling power of the mind to the solid grey fluid you can make it shape to your will.
