Have another go at making the wooden block, and cry in despair from previous failures.

lol, yesh that's why I'm using this avatar, don't usually use a female one, since I'm male, and it causes confusion. But when I saw this I just couldn't pass it up using for a month or so. Maybe I'll switch when this cycle of the game is over.

Name: Lauren
Character Role: Peasant

righto.

Don't expect a bonsai tree to grow the miniature planting it.
Trust your calculator. It's something to count on.
Pencils could be made with erasers at both ends, but what would be the point?

Just waiting on Rashilul for an action, and we can do the next turn.

Buy some more glass making equipment, then make a glass flower out of one small pile of green rocks.

Attempt to use the barrel as a flotation device and swim around, looking for rubber, driftwood, anything floating around.
attempt: 90+2=92
quality: 91, 21
quantity: 96-91=5, 20-21=1
You head out into the water and attempt to GATHER. The abundance of life here is amazing, the rocky outcropping visible from above the waves is the very tip of a submerged mountain range, and it is covered in coral reefs. Staying at the top of the water, you manage to catch half a dozen of the crabs, along with one very sour looking violet lobster.
+92 gather exp
+6 neon-red crab(1-2 pieces of small neon-red chitin, 8oz ichor, 2oz crab offal, 20oz crab meat, 2 small crab neon-red claws, 2 beedy neon crab eyes, 8 neon-red crab legs)
+1 violet lobster(2-3 pieces of violet chitin, 10oz ichor, 2oz lobster offal, 40oz crab meat, massive violet lobsterclaw, 2 deep red lobster eyes, 8 violet lobster legs, 1 violet lobster tail)

Go outside and see what there is to Gather
attempt: 85+2=87
quality: 90
quantity: 37-90=1
Diving under the surface of the water, you decide to explore the sea on your own terms. As you sink fish swim all around you, as well as other assorted creatures. You think several times maybe I should catch that one? No, I'll wait... and move on. Eventually it gets very dark, as you approach the bottom of the mountain and deeper into the ocean world. Here half buried in the sand, you find something that you are certain is worth taking back. You climb back to the portal of the ship, and proudly display the huge fossilied whale-like skeleton. The bones have been bleached nearly white, but sparkle yellow, like a crushed sand beach at dawn.
+87 gather exp(~levelup!~)
+ 1 sparking yellow whale skeleton(approximately 20 massive sparkling-yellow whale bones)

I am going to craft a mini-greenhouse from the mulch, lamp and glass box.
attempt: 8
influence loss: 21
You collect the items that have been crafted and begin to assemble them into a cohesive tool. However, as you are getting ready to work, you notice your plasma lamp begin to glow dangerously red. It seems the metal of the iron isn't enough to fully contain a plasma reaction, and the added metal to the plasma is making it volitile. Before you can do anything, the lamp explodes, causing the ship to throw up the shield as protection. As the energy released fades, the lamp is no more, your glass box now has a massive crack, and the ship charged you 21 influence for use of the shield.
+ 8 toolcrafting exp
- 21 influence
- iron based, red plasma lamp !base influence: 156!

Craft. Seeing that I just can't make my engine work I decide to work on my plasma tank. I take one iron bar from the group storage and one piece of my blue chitin and fuse them together to form one smallish plasma tank that is able to contain plasma, just the size to fit in the chainsaw. This I will keep, but the chainsaw will be given to Elias the Peasant.
attempt: 41-10=31
Giving your chainsaw to Elias opens up a spot in your inventory for some iron. Chooseing one bar from the group storage you begin work on trying to fuse it together with a piece of your chitin. However biological material isn't quite the same as metal, and you have a very hard time making them into the same thing, and eventually give up.
+31 bone forging exp

Have another go at making the wooden block, and cry in despair from previous failures.
attempt: 36+20+1=57
quality: 7
base influence: 56+7=63
You sob a little to yourself over in a corner, then decide to get back to work. As soon as you pick up the log, you go 'Of course!' and begin to blow into one side of the log. Augmented by your powers the wood balloons up into a hollow block with solid sides. You decorate it with some jagged carvings that you hope look like lightning, but in the end don't really do much for the final piece.
+57 wood sculpting exp
+63 crafting influence
+ wooden block with jagged carving !base influence: 63!

Buy some more glass making equipment, then make a glass flower out of one small pile of green rocks.
You purchase another glassmaking gear from the ship. It provides you with some nice silicon gloves to help protect you from the heat. This allows you to not use as much power protecting yourself when working with raw glass.
attempt: 40+20=60
quality: 46
base influence: 21+46=67
Green rock, to green powder, to green glass. It's becomming almost routine now. You heat the glass into a glowing orb and then begin to blow it carefully into the size of the flower you wish. Then using your mind and your powers, you carefully peel away petals and twist just enough to put a delicate bloom in the glass sculpture.
+60 glass sculpting exp
+67 crafting influence
+ 1 delicate green glass orchid !base influence: 67!

Quite a few of you up to the amount of buying equipment. Might want to consider doing that, with a close roll it may just be enough to push you into something better. also, don't forget that you can 'trade' as well as Gather and Craft. :) Can be almost as good as gathering for finding rare materials, plus you get bunches of influence.

Darn! My greenhouse is ruined.  :'(

I will trade my glass box and mulch and anything that anyone else wants trade. I will also buy some bio-engeneering equipment from the ship. The sort you would use to rear large batches of tiny crustateans and cross them with things.

Sounds good, but don't forget a main action. :)

Are the animals already dead?
Craft Attempt:
If not, kill 3 Neon Crabs and attempt to use the Chitin as a fuel link cable between the chainsaw and the Fuel Barrel.
Put all the extra stuff remaining from the crabs in storage.
