For anyone not yet playing, I'll point your attention over here

Lidhiun has taken up the game, and started his own version with my permission. If your are on the wait list, go ahead and apply over there. With two games running you may get in quicker. However I will be keeping track of who plays where. So I will try to give those who haven't played in either yet priority when my cycle change comes up. Feel free to go on the wait list for both however.

Yeah, if experience and such was carried over, that would require a lot of co-ordination and possibly some "work" (FUN!) to make sure that some people didn't become ridiculously experienced through sheer luck :p

Also, since it's two different people operating it, yeah... it doesn't quite work that well to try to merge the two into one history.

But we could craft cannons and cutlasses and have the Aglaia and the Maia engage in a pirate battle! Think of the influence!  :D

Maybe a coordinated bonus day, giving inter-game trading? Any more would probably be too much work...

In all seriousness it's a bad idea, despite its awesome implications. I just loved the mental image of two turtle-ships battling in space (though I'm not sure what shape the Maia actually is).

Take 10 platinum bars. Make platinum "C" ring.
attempt: 18-10=8
You grab ten of the platinum bars from group storage, and prompty cause them to explode once more. Maybe you really should think about not crafting until you have some gear and or at least some influence to loose. The ship is able to contain the blast quite nicely, saving you from any harm, but it still charges you another 70 influence for containment, and the metal is destroyed.
+8 jeweler exp
Note/Warning: I'll say this now, if you reach -1000 influence, I will put you back in hibernation. So be aware, you should be ok if you stop trying to craft with no skill and a talent negative though. XD

Action:I shall drop the gears in shared storage, and then try carving the tourmaline into a decorative piece that implies mechanical, almost steampunkish theme.
attempt: 3+20=23
Gemstone cutting dosen't seem to be your strong point. The attempts you try with the crystal cause hairline fractures that make you quickly stop before going further. More preperation might be in order before you dive into gem cutting.

Aha! This phoenix will be a great centerpiece for a zoo of burning creatures! Claim a nautilus, cover it in black bear fat, and ignite it. Try to make it so the nautilus doesn't feel the fire and it burns forever.
attempt: 88
quality: 57
base influence: 79+57+18(nautilus)+3(fat)=157
Taking one of the nautili from group storage, you grab the bear fat and slather it along the shell and coat as much of the creatue with the material as you can. At first the creature seems to twitch in pain, but as you focus your powers you adapt it's skin to be fire resistant, at the same time, you change pores in the creatures skin to produce a flame concurrent liquid. So, while the creature stays fed, it should be able to keep up a constant flame from it's body, even underwater.

Melt plat. down and suspend it in liquid form then coat the Thread with it and fuse it into them
attempt: 80+20=100
quality: 32
base influence: 74+32+25(thread)+220(bars)=351
Grabbing the stasis held thread and a whole bunch of the platinum bars, you create a small smelter in your hands using your divine powers and melt down the bars into molten metal. Releasing the stasis field just long enough for the thread to writhe a bit you pour the burning metal over it, encasing the whole squiming mass in a carbonite-esc sculpture. As the material cools, the art piece has a rather disconcerning look to it, but there is no one that will tell you the impressive polished sheen on all the worm like parasites dosen't envoke a reaction.

I store all but one of the mushrooms
I take the one tree mushroom apart putting all the wood I cant carry into group storage
attempt: 16
Putting most of your giant mushrooms into group storage you begin to pull apart the remaining one. However, something in the pulp of the mushroom is very mushy, and to claim the wood without ruining the items is very tricky. You decide after a few failed attempts to try again later, maybe with a new tactic.

AI, gimmie a break.
You decide to take a break this turn, the ship charges you 36 influence for the unused work space.

At the end of the day, the familiar hum of the ship's engines begins to echo about. The portal closes and the ship lurches to a new location.

I'll take a break from crafting, if only because it is the first day of a new world so I only have a 6.4 chance of not making it back before next.

So, I shall gather. Wood, if possible.
