Carve into a large tablet of chromium, RAMium and copper everything that has happened so far. Reserve some assorted metals.

Do we keep our influence after the end of the round?

yep, your influence at the end of a cycle is stored, just like your inventory. Just remember things in group inventory at the end most likely will be dissolved.

I claim 1 unit each of RAMium metal, woven starcloth, and 'living' metalcloth.
I Request 2 appropriate pieces of equipment and craft a pair of armoured boots with RAMium metal bodies, 'living' metalcloth soles and fasteners, and innersoles composed of off-green plasma contained within woven starcloth.
Asking the ship for 2 pieces of armorcrafting produces a good pair of tongs, and a rubber mallet for shaping. +2 equipment[armorcrafting] -500 influence
attempt: 31+20+2=53
quality: 48
base influence: 23+48+56(ramium)+38(starcloth)+73(metalcloth)=238
Taking your three components from group storage, you set to work on making some boots. Weaving and plating the metal with the living metalcloth is a fairly easy task. But using sun plasma as a innersole is rather tricky. You manage to pull it off, but feel you just barely kept it all together. Either way, the result is a boot with an eternally burning inside.

+238 crafting influence
+plasma insole Ramium and living metalcloth boots !Base Influence: 238!

Refine the oil.
attempt: 83
quality: 48
base influence: 74+48=122
Taking your barrel oil you set forth to produce a refined fuel for your chainsaw. The chemical process is relatively simple for you, heat the oil to a certain temperature, and as it raises take off what you don't need. Eventually you condense the various products into contained units of fuels, oils, and tars.
+83 chemist exp
+122 crafting influence
+ gasoline barrel(about 4 units) !Base Influence: 122!
+ unit of petroleum gas
+ 2 units Kerosene
+ 3 units Diesel oil
+ 4 units motor oil
+ 6 units asphalt tar
- barrel full of oil. Approximately 42 gallons.
Note: since your inventory only has two spots, you obtained your fuel barrel, and the petroleum gas unit. The rest went into group storage.

Take a whale bone and carve it into a new staff. Then attach the bear skull to the top and add bear claws as decoration.
attempt: 79+1=80
quality: 56
base influence: 66+56=122
Taking some more whale bone, you also collect some bear claws and the bear skull in group storage. Carving out the bone, you attach the skull to the top, and dangle chains of claws from the skull creating a fairly impressive shaman-staff.
+80 bonecrafting exp(~levelup!~)
+122 crafting influence
+Bear skull and claw, Whale bone staff !Base Influence: 122!

Trade. I'll trade my shield, eggs and biome capsule.
attempt: 31-10+2=23
Try as you might, the stark crystal landscape proves difficult to explore and you find no sentient communities with wich to trade. You do seem to find a cave system that held small shards of what seem to be crystal swords in your search, however they are broken and useless, and the cave is empty now.
+23 trade exp

Create a buckler out of copper.
attempt: 89+20=109
quality: 45
base influence: 14+45=59
Taking a full twenty units of the copper ore, you set forth to make a grand shield from the copper. Beating the copper into useable metal, you form several coehisve rings. Taking a handful of the copper units for the center you shape a half sphere and attach the rings around it as it grows into a buckler. The final action is to attach two smallish copper handles to the underside of the shield.
+218 shieldcraft exp(~Levelup!~)
+118 crafting influence
+reinforced copper ring buckler !Base Influence: 59!
Note: full inventory

Carve into a large tablet of chromium, RAMium and copper everything that has happened so far. Reserve some assorted metals.
attempt: 65+20+2=87
quality: 48
base influence: 36+48+56(ramium)=140
Taking some copper, chromium and ramium you fuse together a bar of mixed metals and begin etching in the story of the ship. Sparks fly as your power wrapped fingers gouges out the words and images for your tablet. Afterwards a fairly impressive lithograph is produced.
+87 metal engraving exp(~Levelup!~)
+140 crafting influence
+ metal lithograph tablet !Base Influence: 140!
Afterwards you fill your inventory with metal bars, two ramium, the last chromium, a bar of copper made from two units of copper ore, and a single bar of gold, made from around 500 of the tiny gold coins.

Ok, two turns left until the next cycle. I will be sending out PM's to the next cycle players, and we will begin to form our final set for the next cycle. Didn't get much chance to typo check this, so report any major errors please.

I claim the last unit of RAMium metal and 1 unit of 'living' metalcloth.
I Craft a pair of Gauntlets by shaping all my 'living' metalcloth around a lattice made from my shiny chromium sphere(10cm r). I try to use a unit of off-green plasma to cause flames to emerge from the backs of the gauntlets...

While the ship is preparing for the next big jump, the systems keeping Osin the Peasant frozen shut down, and the process of revitalization begins.

I have been following this all along, and have decided that it would be better to be a crafter.

Edit for clarity: By better, I mean better for my character, not specifically better for everyone in genenral.

This is Dwarf Fortress! If we can chuck magma at innocent wildlife, we can do ANYTHING!

It was at this point that I realised that dwarves are actually the essence of chaos. What else can make perpetual motion machines, recursive statues with more building materials than the average tower and has such a short attention span that a damn fine chair can off-set the death of their entire family.
