Armorleaf: Rope Reed Platemail
« on: December 29, 2009, 07:04:27 am »

I know there's a bug where depending on your civ armor that can be made of bone instead turns up as rope reed. This should theoretically give that armor 50% effectiveness.

Is there a way to make a plant material that has the same strength as say, steel?

perhaps a smelter reaction to make a bar with the same strength as steel, but I think those values might be hard coded..
Unless you can use the Sharp tag on armors..

According to a comment in the Wonderment mod raws, BLOCK_PERC doesn't work with plants.

Ah, I see. Thank you very much...

You could have a plant used in the reaction raws in some way to make it into a desired stone which then could be extracted from like HFS.

The wafer tag added onto the metal should do the trick... I think.

That I know of...what I am trying to do is create a semi-fix for adventure mode, where items made of bone can't be generated, and so are made of rope reed (or another suitable plant material instead).

What about wood?

Bronze lammelar armour is not the best example for wood.

Wood is a good suggestion, but this will add the problem of all things metal will be wood, for that civ.

My mistake, I posted that using my dads monitor before heading home, his monitor is much darker and made it look like wood.
