Okay, it sounds like people want the Fire Emblem style game.
If you are unfamiliar with the mechanics, here's the basics:
Combat is fairly simple. You have chances to hit, dodge, and perform a critical hit based on your stats and your weapon's stats. Also determined with these are attack speed and attack power. Two random numbers 0-99 are rolled to see if you hit. If the average is lower than your attack, you hit and deal damage based on your attack power and your opponent's defense/resistance. If you hit, another number is rolled. If it's less than your critical hit chance, your attack power is doubled first.
There are five weapons that are physical: Knife, bow, sword, lance, and axe. Lances, swords, and axes form the weapon triangle: Swords beat axes, which beat lances, which beat swords. Advantage increases your hit chance and power, disadvantage does the opposite. The "Reaver" weapons and the Swordslayer reverse the triangle while in combat. Bows double attack power against fliers.
There are four types of magic: Anima, Light, Dark, and Staff. Staves do all sorts of things, and the other three form the Trinity of Magic, similar to the weapon triangle. Anima beats Light, which beats Dark, which beats Anima
There are quite a few classes in the game. Some use melee, some use magic. Each class has its own trend for stats and max stats. There are a few "training" classes, which start out much weaker, but have more potential. These each promote to normal classes after level 10, and the levels reset. Other classes max at level 20. Normal classes can promote, either with a special item, starting at level 10, or after leveling up at level 20. A promoting unit can promote into one of two choices. I'll include tier 3 classes, which can be gotten by using a special item on a level 20 promoted class. If a class was made by me, rather than the Fire Emblem people, I'll put an asterisk after the name. I tweaked some promotions, though.
