However, I am happy that you're using ASCII now (though not a square set ) - sometimes the previous 'set bothered me with it's incompleteness (I don't have anything against graphics sets, it's just the one you were using seemed rather inconsistent).

That's weird indeed, as tileset is standard 16x16 square, and chars are squeezed. Jef do you play in 1280 pixel width window?

I've had it at 800x600 for the duration of the LP so far, but I'm messing around with it to try and get a cleaner reso, also, if anybody has any good tilesets or anything, let me know, because this one is pretty broken.

I use a version of Tyrving, which is nice an clear; only I edited it to have smiles instead of beards...

Let me know if you want the 'clean shave' version and I can send it to you.

I've also the 'init' settings for the above mentioned 'set down pat (after working during a four-hour flight cross-country):

If this is set to YES, the tiles will not be stretched, but rather the game view will be centralized, surrounded by black space.  Tiles that are too large will always be compressed rather than running off the screen.

Sorry that took so long, Youtube was being evil about processing etc.  Anyway, 2 up and waiting for the 3rd to process before it goes public!  These three are a nice intermission to hopefully a magnificent bastard of a character to play for a while.

Oh also, I'm going to be uploading a few videos I made for a different game, The Guild 2, just to see if anybody has any interest in an LP of it.  Fear not, I recorded these ... god weeks ago, and adventure mode is my LP of choice, but I needed to have a different game to play in between DF bouts.  So I figure 1 TG2 a week and the rest, adventurmodes!

Not really, I just haven't had time to fiddle with it.  I'll give yours a go but, honestly, IDK, I'm kinda worried about moving to a new tile set ... I've been using the same one for almost 2 years now, so it'd be like learning a whole new language, figuring out what everything is without having to inspect it.  It's probably not as difficult as I think, but, you know what I mean.  Anyway, I'll try it out for the next set of recordings tomorrow!

Well I did try it out, but I had some problems and am generally retarded (pants on head retarded) at modding DF, but I figure what I'll do is, once the new version of DF comes out, I'll get it modded with a tileset straight away and do some more adventuring to explore the new new-ness of it all.

For now, we're up to ... I believe 77 videos!  So, if you haven't had a chance yet, swing on by, and experience rivers!
