You spend an hour planting. All four fields are now growing. (I'm going to arbitrarily decide that daylight begins when day does, and extends three hours into the night.)

10 hours until morning (1 daylight hour left)
2 work hours left


As this continues, it will grow to be at least somewhat more statistic based. I'll track down/write a better program, so that I can work with layers.

Tell me what to do with the last two work hours, and then itt wil be day 3.

Extend map to L-C2 and walk up to the water. Now try to get a small aquatic animal out of the water and onto land by concentrating really, really hard. Put two hours into this.

I'm going to assume you meant the micro map level.





(Yay for 256x256 grid images that can align perfectly when posted together!)

You consider using magic to lure a fish to the shore, but to get a fish of decent size would take at least two MP.

(Magic can be used by groups just as well as by individuals. That way, the total MP available is the sum of everyone's who has any. I'll also arbitrarily decide that people can share MP with each other, also to aid in later-game abstraction)

Investigate the trees for anything useful (fruit etc.), if time is left cut down some.

You cut down one of the trees near your farm. This takes an hour. The last hour of sunlight has passed. The crops have grown (99 hours of sunlight remaining). Then you chop up the tree to get 4 units of wood. You sleep.

It is now the morning of DAY 3.
+1 MP (2/4)
11 wood
10 water
28 food
6 fast-grow seeds
(And a few other supplies, if I think of any others that you should have started with)

Your friend arrives!
He brings:
20 wood
10 water
40 food
(And a few other supplies, if I think of any)

Stats:
key: current (daily change)
The daily change has the following symbols:
+ gain
- lose
= is set to
Some stats have a ratio. The second numer is the maximum.

Population: 2 (+0)
Work-hours: 32 (=32)
Water: 20 (-2)
Food: 68 (-2)
Wood: 31 (+0)
MP: 2/4 (+1/0)
(Probably some I missed, and many I'll add)
(can use up to (population) work-hours per hour.

Double the size of the farm and build an earthen wall around the farm and house compound. This will be the home of the first settlers.

Stick a wooden post at each corner to prevent collapse.

With a second person helping, it only takes four hours to work more of the land.
The planted crops have grown slightly.

Looking to the east, it appears there is some rocky ground to the northeast, and more trees.

8 hours until sundown.
