T'was the night before Dwarfmas, and all through the Fortress not a creature was stirring, not even the inevitable vermin in the food stockpile.

The rock/cage/weapon traps were piled by the entrance with care, in hopes that Goblins, the fifth Iron Ore, soon would be there.

Sweet Urist in her +Giant Cave-Spider Silk Thong+, and I in my +Rope Reed Cap+, had just settled down for a long Dwarfmas nap.

When from outside my +Green Glass Window+ I heard such a clatter, I sprang from my +Tower-Cap Bed+ to see what was the matter.

(I can't remember the exact wording for the rest of the real story, so I'll leave off here for now. I wanted to put the mayor and the hammerer outside our narrators door, coming in regards to a failed production order, but again, I don't remember the rest. If someone wants to finish, they are more then welcome!)

We lose sight of the friends, family, and folks who tend to always be around... so even if you have your differences with them, try to put them aside for a day, and spend time letting them know that they're important to you.

Internet notwithstanding, I love you guys. Have a good holiday, and even if you don't celebrate, try to have a good old time today.

I should've gone with another friend (from work) who offered me to go to a party or something...

Now it's too late and I'm too far away from the capital...
