Climb, upwards, on the look out for anyone who may know why I was thrown in a sewer prison... also more booze, always more booze.

You'd probably be a new character altogether. But if you really liked your old character then hey, we'll see.

And, badassery check failed? Is that at me or Wimdit? Because I certainly wasn't trying to be terribly badass with Leaf Man... his character is, after all, just a smoothly-spoken craftsman, not a commando.
We shall see.  Although I was gunning at Wimdit.  Leaf man is hilarious.

Sorry updates are so infrequent. Unfortunately though, it seems like I'll still be sick for at least a month. Sorry some of the turns are short, but creative juices are leaking out of my ears.

Turn 29

Wimdit (Laodike)
Quote
I crossbow one guard, and then I get out my TRUSTY KNIVES. Throw one at the other guard. If I hit him, I shall finish him off while delivering the obligatory hard-boiled line. If I miss, I withdraw into the cover of the foliage outside, that I might stalk my prey from hiding.
(5)(4) You shoot the first guard effortlessly. (Auto-fail) You throw your knife at the other guard- it's totally ineffective because it has hinges and the handle is heavier than the blade anyway. Which is too bad because you almost looked cool for a moment there, aside from being covered in leaves while wearing a suit. (6)(2) The other guard lunges at you, but you keenly dodge and trip over yourself. (5) Realizing that this guard will probably break every bone in your body, you sprint up the stairs and down through the trap door, closing it behind you. (5) The passage leads into a sewer- you see your quarry running down the passage!

go back to the temple and give some booze to the wounded to let the pain fade away
(6) PARTY TIME! (6) There's a huge dance party consisting primarily of people who walked into the temple for no clear reason. An entire band including a grand piano appears to have entered the premises without your knowledge. This is utterly confounding to you. But... wait. It looks like there's a sign outside.

Run into the center of town and have a request for a quest announced. A flyer that reqests a group or person with these qualities will do well:

Bravery
Badassery
Skill
Thirst for Glory and Fame
Balls bigger than the sun

As a reward will be half of the contents of the castle treasury, military command over a third of the royal troops, a dukedom, and fame throughout history.
(5) Your pages post fliers throughout town beseeching anyone who thinks they may be worthy meet at the Warrior's Temple. You even put up a big sign there. Knowing full well you'll never be able to sift through all the potential heroes (bloody everybody and their little brother want to be a hero after The Odyssey got turned into a play) you decided to open the event with a large, unorganized party and lots of free whiskey. Then you'll pick a real champion from the people who are still standing after the riot. Shouldn't be too long- (4+1=5) you pose around dashingly. You are so clever.

Wait until nightfall, and head over to the cemetery. bring a shovel.
Woo-hoo! Grave digging! You wait until sun sets and sink your shovel into the earth of the graveyard- (1) only to be immediately spotted by a wandering constable. "Well, well..." He says, getting out his nightstick, "what would you be up to at this hour?" You summon your best excuse-making powers. (4) "Ah, you see... I have to dig up Mr, umm..." You glance quickly to the grave stone. "Caroline. For a criminal investigation." (5) The constable is entirely too drunk to care and moves along. You dig out the corpse.

(5) You head up the stairs. They stop just a couple flights up at an open doorway, into another level of sewers. (?) You're in luck! There's a human running from an elf.  You wonder if the human knows anything... well, one way to find out! Maybe you'll get to smash an elf too.

Wait, is that me the can fellow sees? Cause I'm not no elf.

Sigh with relief after realizing that I almost grabbed my crazy death knife by the blade. Then after him! Reload my crossbow as I run, since it shouldn't be big enough for me to have to bend over.

What crazy death knife? The one from Reginald's house that had acid on it? I think you were wise enough not to store that in your coat...

Oh, it was like that because of acid? Odd that I didn't realize that. Although, I'm no alchemist, but I think acid strong enough to destroy the letter in moments would leave a mark on an iron or steel blade.

first of all, you are covered in leaves, so to a sober dwarf you are an elf.

Dwarven battle cry, then tackle the human, demanding beer and a way out!

Bring master Caroline back to my room. I feel it's time to get whatever-time-period-we-are-in on his ass.

I believe the balls were bigger than the sun. Anyways, I hurry off to the castle treasury to make sure something's actually in there.

Continue my way until I reach the main meeting area of these backwater fools and determine where I might find a diamond.

Sorry, normally I'd wait or do a default action. I totally forgot though, I've been dazed and tired lately.
