There is a chasm in the top-right, visible from 3 levels below ground on down.
It was discovered in the second turn.

Anyway, now it's too late and my carefully trained administrator is nuts. :-/

It's a pity, I invested more time decorating his room than I invested into anyone else's room, my own included.

Seems to be the way with things on this forum; if an invention doesn't involve death by magma then you know someone's going to go out of their way to make sure it does involve death by magma... then it gets acknowledged as being a great invention.

20th Hematite
Lav tells me about some chasm in the north-east that's absolutely full of spider webs. I don't really believe him, though.

I have taken it upon myself to take over the responsibilities of the insane clerk. I ordered a small office dug behind my bedroom (which is more... modest than I can say for most rulers). I am carving this as I prepare to lock myself away until the stocks are counted.

Later. Malachite?
I begin to lose track of time. Lav has become my informant; he says the second project is complete. I've had TKGP (What does that stand for?) engrave this picture for future reference:

The first project is more than half complete.

Later, again. Malachite?
Lav informs me that the Humans have left.

Sometime in Autumn
The stocks are complete. I haven't heard from Lav for a while; he must be busy.

23rd Sandstone

I heard that Lav has gotten one of those moods, just like the (recently deceased) clerk! He claimed one of the forges. I hope we have everything he wants.

24th Sandstone
Lav completed his item. I admit I'm a little disappointed; it's worth 102000☼, but it's not very good as a weapon:

In other news, more migrants!

2nd Moonstone
Mosus, a craftsdwarf, has been imprisoned for "violating a production order" to make giant rat leather items. Given as we have no giant rat leather, and neither the Human nor the Dwarven caravans brought any, this is a really bad decision on the Mayor's part. The main project is complete; the scaffolding just needs to be taken down.

22nd Moonstone
Main project complete! Here is a masterful engraving of it, by TKGP. (How he includes color, only he knows.)

2nd Opal
There was an ambush! Our military completely destroyed it, with just the lost of a stupid immigrant macedwarf. The main reason I'm mentioning this, however, is that one goblin is apparently stuck on the ceiling:

A curious development. We'll see how long it'll stay up there.

9th Opal
The dwarves are giving birth left and right. I suspect there have been over 10 in just this year.
I've implemented a strength training regimen for myself, for I intend to enter the military soon.

26th Opal
Three four more births! Ridiculous. The dam was installed, although the water unfroze before I could get the second floodgate linked to the lever. Mosus was released. I've ordered the exploratory mining to continue.

28th Opal
Apparently we struck Microcline! Good for the miners.

3rd Obsidian
I've ordered Urist Sealink, the Butcher, to slaughter all the animals that are not war dogs. Unfortunately, the dwarves with pets protected their pets, so all we can kill are the strays.

6th Obsidian
Red Zircon! Tetrahedrite!

7th Obsidian
Milk Opal!

9th Obsidian
Thob, a weaver, has been possessed by a foul demon!

10th Obsidian
Another birth. Two births.

11th Obsidian
Yet another birth. These dwarves are breeding like rabbits.

13th Obsidian
Thob's constructing now. At least we had everything. Keeps muttering Konadroder, whatever that means.

15th Obsidian
It's complete:

Worth 69000☼

16th Obsidian
The Dragon, Osram Brandglow the Spark of Treasures, has arrived! I'll let it come to us; knowing out military, it'll die quickly.

17th Obsidian
Another birth... The Dragon approaches.
...Stukos Polishedracks (a crossbowdwarf) dealt the final blow on the dragon, after somebody (one of the archers) dealt a fatal blow, piercing its heart!

19th Obsidian
A baby girl.

25th Obsidian
As I near the self-imposed end of my reign, Armok blesses me with another baby. Hooray.

27th Obsidian
I make my preparations. The miners strike Milk Opal. It's not resounding with me anymore.
...The Countess Consort has giver birth to a boy, Ilral.

28th Obsidian
Today, I join the military. I leave my command to one who will take charge. If Arnok takes me, then I implore you, whomever is reading this: Tell Reg I love her.

1st Granite
The World has Passed Into the Second Age of Heroes.

Words cannot describe the gigglefit I had when I saw the picture of the gate. Jawsome. The shop area is pretty sweet as well.

<snippy>
How should I package the save; just put it in the original folder and upload it to DFFD, or upload it as it is now?
Upload the whole Dwarf Fortress folder, easier to keep track of everything.

My name is 'Temporary Korean Girl Poster'; trust me, it's not important.

Here's the save: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=1845

Things you might want to do:
Fulfill mandates. (The rat leather one is impossible unless you somehow get some rat leather.)
FPS is at about 19 for me; you might want to destroy some stone and kill animals.
Make the count's room-flooding magma trap work.
Kill some babies.
Make some plate for my Dwarf (I didn't get around to it).
Keep the Dragon parts and only use them for something really valuable.

Don't:
Engrave the second level. That's the commoner's place, and it should be really cheap to live in unless you give them some jobs.
