Yeah, but they had to find the tree first. Technically the Na'vi weren't actually fighting a war at all; they didn't see it as a war, they just saw the Sky People as annoyances best ignored, or shot at if they got too nosey.

I think he means that tree next to the other tree. Yeah, they blew that one up. Now, that other tree, that one was hard to blow up, with all the trees that were in the way and that. Talk about not seeing the tree because of the forest. Also the rocks. And the other rock. They could have missed and hit the ground, or some cockroaches or something. I would just have said "the hell with it" and blew up the dirt. Lots of dirt to blow up, without any of that tree nonsense. Too many rocks too. But if they had blew a few rocks, they would have been able to blow up the trees.

Jake Sully waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were Na'vi in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Quaritch were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Jake was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad "I want to be on the ships daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY NA'VI"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the mining station base of the RDA he knew there were Na'vi.
"This is Quaritch" the radio crackered. "You must fight the Na'vi!"
So Jake gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US" said the Na'vi
"I will shoot at him" said the Omaticaya and he fired the poison arrows. Jake plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the Na'vi" he shouted
The radio said "No, Jake. You are the Na'vi"
And then Jake was a catsmurf.

On the topic of the movie, I found it a solid watch as long as you don't expect too much of it and don't think too much about it.

 While the vending machines at the theater I saw Avatar at were alright, they tried to sell me 32oz bottles of soda at $1.50! I can get 2 liters of soda for like 80 cents. Why would I buy from here? And it's not even allowed in the theater.
