Come to Australia and flip the fuck out.

2 liters of soda for $3 cold, $2.50 otherwise.

???

I can get 2 liters of soda for $2 with tax.  It's cheaper than water here.
That is some expensive water.

Bottled water is a joke.

Has anyone ever seen canned water? Non-sparkling

I've not personally seen it, but I hear it's used on Lifeboats... minimal packaging for maximum fresh water.

It popped up in The Life of Pi.

I took a trip to one of the Florida natural springs.  One that supposedly bottles water (though the name of the spring escapes me)

There are people swimming in the water, as well as some marine animals.  I seem to remember seeing manatees (actually now that I think it may have been dolphins instead, some kinda marine mammal), but I wasn't sure if where they were at was connected to the spring itself or not.  I imagine if they were in the spring itself they wouldn't be letting folks swim in the water due to endangered species laws.

At any rate I wouldn't be interested in water that people swam in.  Particularly on elementary school field trip day.  I also didn't see anything resembling any kind of pumps or anything collecting water when I dived down into the vent, if they do collect the water from it, it's downriver.  So I wouldn't be interested in bottled water anyway, even if it wasn't just city tap water put in a plastic bottle and sold for a 900% profit.

actually, here in portugal i pay about 0.30€ for 5 ltrs for imported(spanish) water, or 1€ for portugese water(maybe more or less, depending on the spring) i usually go for some middle to expensive waters, depending on the springs available at the supermarket, i got 3 that i really enjoy, and i often take a long trip to a supermarket just to buy my favorite water. also, i live in oporto and the tap water here tastes pretty bad, tough in guimarăes, the town i came from, the water was great, and guimarăes' spring water is still one of my favorites

Depends where in Australia you live, Melbourne tap water is 100x better than ours. We have a water tank so it's all good.

Heh, I thought Unbreakable was an awesome movie.

Also, Swiss tap water is perfect everywhere, we've got rich subterranean water deposits.
