There, in third book we have goblin tower fall to food/loot related a tantrum spiral, which started when they discovered that their Giant Cave Spider, a spider silk farm, got killed and that adventurer that did it dropped nice *tiny chainmail* that everyone wanted. the adventurer what did it also threw their artifact gold ring into the magma.

Actually, Shelob never died. She just got some yellow wounds on her abdomen and legs and had an eye gouged out.

Actually, it's left open what happened to Shelob. The Uruks assume that she's gonna be back, but considering that never before, in all her millenia, had she been hurt to any great degree, they have no reference to the situation.

That's not true, the book itself said the decades later, once shelob's hunger and hatred worked itself back up and her hide reformed, that she would return to the world to terrorize a distant land.... she also couldn't talk in the book.... atleast she *didn't* talk to anybody but smeagle.
