Tips...What Kotor wants
« on: December 20, 2009, 02:23:25 pm »

Hey, its been like4-6 months since ive been active,  but there are some things I would like to see in the newer versions
1.inventory space for 1 pistol, some ammo, and another miscellanious (crowbar, spraycan)
{maybe a purchasable backpack}
2. Random events- Jehovahs witness knocks on door
A.Kidnap him
B.Lecture him on his ways
C.Steal his money
D. Ignore him
...etc etc
3. maybe 2 ways of doing things at place of mission ex. pick lock 1 on alert lever, break with crowbar 2 on alert leve, and shoot open door 3 on alert level
4.Hireable Liberal "hitmen" ex. blah blah hires an activist, John Carrotstick to deal with CCS members. So and so hires John for
A- 1 week 10k
B - 2weeks 15k
C-1 month 20k
D- 1 year 100k
F- 1 day 2k
after this time expires, maybe a popup asking "renew contract"
These hitmen can execute whoever and they can also fight we
*also it annoys me that it is g to buy shotty though p to buy shotty ammo

Man, I completely second the hitmen idea. I would love to have some hired guns to finally take out the CCS. I have something like a hundred thousand in cash but my gunners are too pathetic in rifle skill to even kill a few, and they keep sieging me...

I wouldn't mind the LCS getting some hired guns themselves, the only issue would be balancing.

IMO I think that mercs would be most balanced if they had average skills. I think if you had the cash they would be useful in getting the LCS back on their feet if something bad happened, or maybe support if you know a raid is coming.

I guess it depends what you see them as. I think they should be similar in skill to the other mercs in the game. At the same time if you have the cash they should be somewhat disposable. If you need real skill though you should have to train LCS members yourselves.

Actually the whole idea of mercs makes me wonder about hiring people in general, even if just in set professions, like hiring people to sell brownies or hack computers, again this would be a balancing issue, you could just hire 10s of drug-dealers and reap the profit.

Maybe it could be extremely hard to find and hire people, and then you have to pay a lot. Example you talk to a *random person* and they won't join your cause but they do know a friend who is looking for a way to support the liberal agenda and make a little money on the side. Or you talk to ** and they like what you have to say, but need a source of income and ask to be paid. EX 3 after raiding conservative headquarters you find a file offering information on a Liberal for hire. **ALSO just a general addition of random things like these would be good. PLEASE POST MORE IDEAS HERE ABOUT WHAT YOU WANNA SEE

Why can't you just hire the Mercs that the corporations hire?

Hell some might even completely join the LCS!

Mercs must have an HQ, so you can go there and cause some ruckus/hire some mercs.

Second, are disguises still useless when you carry a gun?
For example:
New Enlightened Death Squad member goes into the Police Station.
He is wearing the same armor and carrying the same weapons as the other Death Squad Members.
Death Squad member Bob looks at the enlightened member and goes hostile because he is carrying an M4, the same gun he is carrying.

I don'y know, lets ask a pro....."JONATHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!"
EDIT***
Also, I wouldn't mind seeing something added to the prisonbreaks. Like if i have a full group maybe they could become purple (carry someone) like a bunch of prison recruits because they are in chains they can't do things alone. Maybe to balance this out, possibly the prisoners could attack you, run away, or have negative juice. comment about this idea please

Actually, the idea of being forced to take all the prisoners with you isn't a bad idea, but I'm not found of the chains.

Prisoners are annoying to free. I think it'd be good to be able to sneak in and sneak out. For example, maybe bring along some police uniforms, dress the prisoners in them, and then sneak out instead of getting mobbed by a thousand police officers when they see the dreaded orange jumpsuit.
