o.o 53 THOUSAND?!

You'd never be able to get inside without carving a new tunnel! You'd need to mine out the compressed sasquatch!

I like how the cave is called "Empty". "Umbra" must be a subtle reference to the Umbrella Corporation.

Umbra = A dark area or a shadow. Empty Darkness. That's a cool name.

It may be darkness, but it's anything but empty.

"It's dark in here. You would be likely to be eaten by a grue if you didn't feel the bad breath of about three thousand sasquatches in your immediate vicinity."

Well, it's on 40d(X), but HEAVILY modified...
Bastardization of Sean's amalgamation, what remained of my own personal mods, and a bunch of new untoward words.
Even so, I'd still upload the save (and the mods) if it weren't for the fact that they disperse into the great outdoors before you can even reach it in Adv. Mode, unfortunately...

I should set some random creature's population data to rediculous proportions and see if I can get a similar situation.

YES.  It would be perfect for a cave succession game.  It would be even better if you could only mine if you mimicked the way the game generates caves.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember
