this just in! i might have discovered an entire z-level of alunite! would this be good?

Alunite is not a layer stone.

That said, alunite is completely useless except as a pretty white stone for constructions.

I prefer marble or limestone for white colored constructions.

Check your raws, did you somehow set alunite as a layer stone?
